WTF. He was a good college player, but what has he done as a pro? He seems to stand out in that list.

just a quick glance at that list, and giving it no thought whatsoever, JJ Redick (his name on the wiki page as a past MVP caught my eye) should be on it over him. i'm sure there may be other names more deserving than either. but you could say Redick had a comparable college career but definitely gets the edge when it comes to NBA.

yeah hansbrough hasn't done anything of note in the NBA really. he was a great college player and is the all time leading scorer in the ACC. so you definitely can't knock his college career. but i'd be interested in seeing who was left off that top 35 list.

No, I agree (and I think he is a pretty good guy too -- JW that is). Hate him or not, though, Hansbrough is ridiculously decorated in college. Both easily deserve to be on the list if it was solely about college. But they just don't fit when you look at their careers in aggregate and the rest of that list.

Hansbrough, because his game would never translate; Williams because of a brain dead decision.

See, I don't think hansbrough was that talented. If refs would have called a tenth of the traveling violations he actually committed he would've have even averaged 10 points a game. He didn't translate to the NBA because he couldn't take acc refs with him.
