Like Miami, we probably can't overcome the coaching discrepancy in this one. Crazy that a shit program like VT had Buzz Williams fall into their lap.

The worst is UVA getting tony bennett. All these programs that are historically worse than us getting better coaches than us is shameful.

The fact that herb, lowe, and gottfried could recruit at a high level shows the kind of institutional advantage we have. Just need a good coach.

hopefully they used all of their good juju agianst Duke. having home court and extra depth should help.

VT has only lost to TAMU and has beaten #5 Duke, Ole Miss, Nebraska, and Michigan.

Shooting 40% 3PT and 50% FG

They have two guys scoring over 15ppg.

We're virtually identical to them in almost every category statistics-wise.

Is it bad that we are having to do 90's promotions for our games? You typically hear about this for minor league baseball games. Does this mean the game is not exciting enough? Anyways, we lose this game and our percentages of making the tourney are dwindling.

VT just hung 89 on Duke. They will probably get to a 100 against our shit defense. This game has blow out loss written all over it.

We are going to get shredded in the ACC this year. Sucks to say, but everyone except maybe BC, Syracuse, and Wake look to be superior to us. Sounds like football. Hard to fathom that with the talent we have.

serious question - if we don't make the tournament with this level of talent, what happens to Gott? I'm still not sure that Debbie would make any moves before she retires (they were friends anyway before this and Gott may have even done her somewhat of a favor when we came up empty handed) but even if she would make a move I'm not sure his seat is hot enough yet.

Keeping conversations open with Archie or even UNCWs coach seems prudent, although I really hope Gott can pull something off this year.

Georgetown transfer Isaac Copeland visiting today. Would be a nice transfer pickup. 6'9 forward averaged 11 and 5 last year. He's from Raleigh. Started at Ravenscroft and finished at Brewster, which has turned into a pipeline for us.
