As difficult as the news is for Charger fans, I know Dean Spanos and his family did everything they could to try to find a viable solution in San Diego." Shortly after the announcement, the Chargers revealed the 30,000-seat StubHub Center on the campus of Cal State Dominguez Hills in Carson will serve as the team's temporary home until the stadium it will share with the Rams in Inglewood is built. The team also launched FightforLA.com -- a website that will allow fans to place a fully refundable $100 deposit on season tickets for the 2017 season. Current Chargers season ticket holders will maintain their priority status and are not required to make a deposit, the team said. "Our ultimate goal is to bring L.A. a Super Bowl championship," said John Spanos, the Chargers' president of football operations. "When we say we will fight for L.A., this is the essence of our pledge." "

It'll be interesting to see if Rivers remains with the LA Chargers or decides to retire. Or a really unlikely, but ideal situation as a Rivers fan -- I'd love to see him play out his career with a franchise that is positioned to win. Spanos clearly hasn't given a shit about winning a Super Bowl in the last decade he's been trying to leave San Diego. As much as I hate to admit it, Eli was smart to refuse to play for San Diego.

LA won't be a good spot for a NFL team until they're a consistent winner.

Having 2 below average NFL teams in one city is going to be tough, at least Oakland is smart enough to consider somewhere else like Vegas.

Now Spanos gets to move his team to a 30k seater MLS stadium for a couple of years, and then play second fiddle to the Rams in a market that doesn't give two fucks about them.

The best part is that Spanos has to pay $650 million to the NFL in order to move and become a tenant in the Rams new stadium. All because he didn't get his way and have San Diego pay for a new waterfront downtown stadium. Fuck that guy.

Could have spent that $650 million on a new stadium in mission valley, but nope, let's move the team guys.
