Will be exciting to see who takes the coaching job and what players he brings with him, if any.

Given the strength of the ACC and with teams like GT, Wake, and Clemson now ahead of us, this could be a Les Robinson type season. We'll be battling BC for the bottom spot.

With markells injury he'll probably just redshirt next year.. At a different school. Really the worst thing that could have happened to keep him here

Next year really hinges on Markell. It'd be nice if we can get Kapita and Yurt back -- maybe even Abu -- but Markell's the only ballhandler on the team. Without him, we're even worse than this year.

Not even sure I care if Henderson gets another year. We could definitely use his shooting, but his lazy defense and shoddy ballhandling almost outweigh the good.

Dorn and Rowan should be back, barring something crazy. Other than those two, who knows.

Henderson would be alright to bring off the bench for some three point shooting. Really hope Markell is back to lead the team and Kapita is back as well.

Good enough to be competitive there. Add any combination of Y7/Abu/Kirk/Hicks/Rowan, a fifth year transfer, and a late recruit or two and you could have talent to contend for NCAAs.

I don't want anyone to go as long as they have a good attitude. We don't have to play them so it never hurts to have the depth. Presumably the next coach will actually be able to coach/develop players so we may actually see some talent emerge that Gott couldn't eek out.

Markell is truly the key piece here. Without him or a couple PG transfers, we are fucked. A good coach like Archie might be able to get production out of guys like Omer, Kapita, and Kirk.

I personally won't be sad if Rowan transfers. The few games a year where he puts up big numbers doesn't outweigh his horrible defense.

right.

on one hand, we have like 9 ACC wins in the last 2 years, so normally you wouldnt give a shit if the players that were on such bad teams stayed or left. after all, they didn't exactly wins us many games. but on the other hand, we need bodies to fill out a roster (even if they suck) because '17-18 could be a real bad year no matter who the coach is if there's a mass exodus.

We need 2/3 of Abu, Y7, Kapita to stay to be NCAA contenders. Good sign they were all there at least. Maybe Henderson is possibly back? Hopefully Keatts gets quick answers so he can try to fill holes.
