I have gone back and forth on whether I want to play. I have enjoyed watching it on Twitch though. It is more my style than H1Z1 at least and seems like they are actually keeping up with updates and stuff so far.

have there been any updates?

when i played a month ago my complaints were: map is too big, its hard to find people; unless you find a vehicle it can be almost impossible to stay in bounds just running if you land in a bad spot; way too luck-based

i've been playing this a lot recently. not really that good, but i feel like i am at least competent at the game. i've gotten a handful of top 10's, most kills i've had in a round is 5, but no wins. all solo.

i'd like to try duos or squads so i will add you all. i'm hopdrop23

I think the game will play a lot better if they add in a ranked game mode, where your position 1-100 actually has a consequence. There would probably be less maniacs going all out at the military island, meaning the late game would have a ton of action with more people competing.

^yea it's nothing like that. Counterstrike is garbage twitch shooter. This is more for the more intelligent gamers amongst us, who are into tactics, complicated skilled strategy. And slow burn epics with a thrilling climax.

the strats in counterstrike are considerably more complicated and less reliant on RNG. don't be butt hurt. having said that, it's nothing like CS except the gun play is fairly realistic and there's no respawns.

I like Counterstrike, played semi-pro. But PUBG is the superior game.

Got this on Steam on Saturday. Reminds me a lot of DayZ, just less buggy and a better community. Made it to 5th place on one game, prob out of pure luck. Man, when it gets down to like 20 people left, it is intense. One thing I've noticed is that I'm pretty decent at hiding, just not good at killing others. Whenever I do inevitably die, I never even see who shot me.

I got burnt out so hard on this game. I don't have any issue getting at least one win a week, it's just that there is no improvement in quality of play. Engine optimization, hit registry, physics, etc, it's all shit.

They got their money, little incentive to improve the product considering it's continuing popularity.

I'm just not a huge fan of this sort of free for all in this sort of setting. UT was good for that because it was absurd. This, not so much.

Yeah same here. I caved to friends begging me to play it. I feel like you just hide for half an hour and then get shot in the head from somebody that's too far away to even see. It's a cool concept but I'd rather play Overwatch where there's a ton of action for the entire match.

Apparently this game has sold 18 million copies. That's crazy for a game that's only been released on PC and isn't even technically finished.

I guess you can count me among the people who doesn't "get it" with the popularity of this game. I mean I can see the appeal of the game type even if it's not really for me (too slow, I was always more of an fy_iceworld guy instead of a de_dust guy) this game specifically seems pretty janky and amateur.

I've plateaud in how bad I am at this game. Every game I play ends up the same. Run around for the first 5 mins or so. Find some decent loot. Try sneaking around for 20 mins. Make it to the last 30 or so and get shot by someone I don't see. On the rare occasion that I do see someone first, I shoot them in the head 50 times but they still somehow manage to turn around, see me, and kill me first. I've made about $15 on the steam marketplace just by selling various loot boxes. I think once I get enough to where the game has paid for itself I'm done until the full release.

I'm pretty much always top 10 and most of the time second place. For the life of me I cannot get more than one or two first place wins every couple of weeks.

This game is so good. The tactics, the strategy, the tense moments. Cannot be replicated in the bland trigger happy CoD or Halo games where you shot, die, respawn, shoot die, respawn. Those games just can't hold my attention anymore as an adult.
