These grow about 4-5 inches per day, and pop up out of nowhere. I pull them up every few days, and new ones just pop up in a day or two. SUPER annoying, and Glyphosate did nothing. Sprayed a healthy coating on the dirt before I mulched. These resilient bastards gave no fucks. Is this milkweed? Best way to eradicate?

idk.
glypohsate doesn't really have any pre-emergent properties...it'll only kill what's alive when it's sprayed. so that would explain why glyphosate didn't do much to keep it from popping up later. 5/25/2017 7:18:37 AM |

appears to be some sort of magical beanstalk. Let it grow a little bigger and then hit the leaves with glyphosate climb it. 5/26/2017 2:11:37 PM |

Well, yes I sprayed the soil, but mainly because I had a ton of other already present weeds that needed to be nuked too. But these little fuckers were already "growing" underneath the surface. I know how glyphosate works, but was just hoping it would somehow make it's way into the miniature rhizomes (or whatever you wanna call them at that stage). 5/26/2017 2:50:06 PM |

About to head outside and change the brake pads on the grocery getter and mix up a gallon or two of glyphosate to send these things straight to hell. 5/27/2017 10:28:49 AM |

I actually sold that house and moved to Apex. No longer my problem
I DID glyphosate those bastards though. Took about 5 full days, but they gradually died a slow death. 9/14/2017 10:32:18 AM |

Kinda looks like Carissa Holly sprouts.
Not sure though. 9/18/2017 7:19:57 AM |

Don't think it'd be Carissa. That wouldn't germinate from seed so readily I don't believe. And it'd have alternating leaves not opposite. 9/18/2017 5:36:17 PM |
