Yes there are easier ways, but I'm not really in it for that. I do need some cash, but I'd rather sell to ncsu students or alum or just intellectually curious and good hearted people. I'd rather not sell to drug dealers or worse bankers. Also most of the people at my bitcoin meetups have a ton of questions for me and I'm one of the few people in the area that knows the protocols inside and out.

This is a painfully obvious scam. Don't respond to this guy. At best, he's engaged in money laundering and you'll end up with police at your door. At worst, he'll sell you some btc and request your wallet's private key (or just steal it with whatever "app" he tells you to install), which will allow him to just run off with your money and take back the btc at a later date. Don't do "business" with this guy
