I understand why this sucks, but this is the most lame duck network primetime opening for the Olympics ever. NBC has a completely artificial invented team figure skating event, and on NBC Sports they have practice for men's downhill and a mixed doubles curling match (another invented event) between China and Canada.

Alpine skiing events all getting delayed due to high winds. They're going to be holding one right after another.

I have my contempt of figure skating as much as the next guy, but the Russian chick that just went (Zagitova), her performance was beautiful.

If you haven't seen it, check out the American female luger's crash. Had to get x-rays done on her back, but everything came back fine.

Watched a lot of short track speedskating tonight, why don't they hold the match racing on the larger speedskating oval? It's entertaining, but holding it on the short track and the seemingly random referee decisions makes it all a bit of a lottery. If it's on the larger oval it gives more passing avenues with the longer straights. I know the long track has the free skate, which I've never seen. Maybe I'll try to catch it.

Apolo Ohno on commentary as the U.S. were in 4th out of 4 with a gap during the men's team relay: "This is going to be very difficult for the American team if they do not speed up." Well, no shit.
