I had lower expectations for the season than most so I wasn't surprised when we were not ranked in some polls. However, it is nice to do better than expected as opposed to the last couple years when we had great expectations then did fine, but I was disappointed because expectations were high.

well we still haven't really played anybody. probably gotta wait til the Clemson games to really see anything at all. UNCW is decent but anything can happen in 1 game. Boston College is not very good either.

That's a disappointment, only 2 hits total from one of the hottest hitting rosters in the country. The Canisius bullpen threw 5 nearly perfect innings.

On another note, I hadn't ever heard of Canisius College until they were on our baseball schedule this season.

Different rankings have different numbers, but we're anywhere between #21-24 and Clemson is somewhere #10-13. Except Clemson has the #1 RPI, while we're #61.

NC State in the national stats rankings:

#2 home runs
#4 slugging
#11 runs scored
#41 ERA
#25 WHIP

Clemson also hits a lot of home runs, but they aren't in the top 50 in batting average or runs scored.
