Anyone here going?

Relative to Greensboro, how hard is it to get tickets on lower level for Thursday/Friday games? Any clue what tickets typically run? Seem high now on StubHub, but figure they'll come down if UNC/Duke/Syracuse lose.

May go up Thursday AM and Friday.

UNC and Duke won't even play until day 3. Who knows what Syracuse can do in tournament mode.

I don't think it's ever difficult to get tickets for anything before the semifinals and many times not even then depending on the teams.

Last year the scalpers were definitely making a field day on the semifinals if I remember correctly, before that it's pretty cheap.

Its bad. The barclays scalpers are pros who do it as a weekly job. they will hodl till death. they will take the tickets home before they sell them below face.

Use stubhub unless you can count on a giant fanbase (duke, cuse) leaving

The Clemson @ Cuse game is really important. I don't know what seed clemson will get, but if they lose and fall to 6th or less then we win the basketball/football aggregate as the best regular season in the conference this year.

GG Yow!

[Edited on March 1, 2018 at 12:45 AM. Reason : technically we need to win the acc championship to truly pass clemson but 2nd is already great]]

Anyone who watches the ACC tournament on ESPN instead of the ACC Network isn't a real fan.

^That was what ESPN used as the theme music for the 2008 ACC tournament. So, at every commercial break and whenever coming back on air, some mashup of that shit played. 10 years later and that atrocity is still fresh in my mind.

ncsu
vt
bc
louisville
wake forest

^^^And ignores how great our baseball and women's bball teams are this year. But since there's already a director's cup that takes all of that into consideration, talking about it any other way is dumb.

(By the way, we were #7 nationally in the fall standings, best in the ACC...first winter update doesn't come out until March 22)

Making a bowl game and making the NCAA tourney in the same season is about the only football/basketball correlation that anyone other than mambagrl remotely cares about. Unless you're Florida and you win championships in both in the same year, obviously.

you can]t just combine the records because that would weigh basketball more heavily (more games).

im making this up like i said as a metric for people who only follow the two biggest sports. directors cup is not for me. not everyone has to care about it. i think this is cool.

So guys I think we're now tied with clemson in the "football vs Olympics announcers" metric. Clemson finished ahead of us in football but we had Terry Gannon announcing the Olympics.

^I was thinking about this, too. We live and die by rebounds and 3-pointers. An easier match-up to start things off will be good for playing one day after another because it allows for more experimentation with shots and bounces on the rims.

Can't believe Brownell got more COY votes than Keatts.

Also, Roy should get worst coach of the year award for having 2 first team players and finishing 6th.

^I'm so tired of his "Luke Maye is a walk-on" bullshit.

It's a BS storyline. The kid was a 3* player and had plenty of offers, he WANTED to go to UNC because I believe his parents went there. He chose to give up full rides to be a preferred walk-on at his favorite school. Kudos to him for having the financial ability to do that, but let's not act like this kid didn't have offers and just came out of nowhere to become a solid player. He's definitely been better than expected, but this isn't any bigger of a deal than say Bradley Chubb going from a 3* to a top 5 draft pick.

^^^ this is correct.

Also, isn’t this probably Clemson’s best regular season in a couple decades? I know we wanna say Keatts deserves more COY love, but I think votes for Bennett and Brownell can be justified.
