amongst other problems LOL, I'm using it for rural USPS deliveryandddd when it's in drive (D) it has started accelerating really slowly, whether or not I'm driving from the right. so I've had to resort to manually shifting it in 2nd gear (2) for it to accelerate normally between boxesso what might be the issue? the transmission has been weird since I bought this thing, but the slow acceleration in D just started happening about a week or 2 ago. any ideas? it's almost like the parking brake is half stuck on or something, is that a possibility? the electrical system has been fucked on it since I bought it.. pretty sure I got ripped off but that's another story (well also it's old af so I guess I should have expected it)I know there are other problems, I wish I knew how to fix, or at least identify issues

if it accelerates normally when you shift to 2nd manually, then i'd say the transmission is fucked up. stuck in 1st or something.

ah I thought it might be some issue with the transmission is that something I can kind of "treat" with transmission fluid? (someone told me Lucas transmission products might be good but I never tried them), or is that just something that's gonna cost way too much to repair?

also I believe it might be a bit too difficult to try delivering mail and manually shifting, but thanks for the suggestion

It's usually chalked up to solenoid/pcm issues. No idea on costs. That additive stuff, whether it's gas/coolant/oil/trans, is never really recommended. Even then, I can't see making your trans oil into a snotty sludge helping your case.[Edited on May 11, 2018 at 8:10 AM. Reason : ]

i think your trans has no dip stick. take the little plug that lets the fluid run on the ground when its full out and pour ATF in there until it leaks out. engine needs to running. worth a shot[Edited on May 12, 2018 at 9:26 AM. Reason : s]
