Is he doing more to hurt or help the Dems?

He's definitely lost a ton of credibility, but he was pretty right about Cohen. He needs to keep a low profile for a while and keep his mouth shut.

At this point we shouldn't be surprised when clowns show up to the clown show.

Can someone bring me up to speed? Was evidence produced to refute his client's allegations or did he just never produce any corroborating evidence to support his client's allegations?

I think Grassley released some letter from a random fat guy claiming he had a non-physical relationship with Swetnick (Avenatti’s client) and that she told him she liked having sex with multiple men at once.

Your basic slut-shaming you might say. No one really cared because all of our minds had been made up for a week before any of that went down (just a smoke screen the undecideds could blame for their ultimate decision).

Ultimately, Avenatti claimed he had damning evidence but never produced anything that could sway the vote.

But that assumes there is ANYTHING that could have swayed the GOP to vote against Kavanaugh. I’m under the impression that all of the GOP would have lined up to vote for him even if he was on video drowning a baby while Cosby and Weinstein jerked off in the background. (To own the libs).

In the end, I’ll judge Avenatti if he creates actual concrete legal jeopardy for Trump. If yes, then I’ll have a hard time hating him.

And this is coming from someone that doesn’t like Avenatti personally, will under no circumstances vote for him ina primary, and abhors the idea that we need “our own trump” to go toe to toe with Trump.

I wasn’t aware of Avennati’s political aspirations. As a lawyer, I enjoyed his theatrics with the Cohen/Stormy stuff, but if he’s actually wanting a political career, I suddenly “like” him so much less. Not that I ever thought he was a great guy to begin with.

Are there any legitimate reasons why he wouldn't have come forward with that evidence this week? I'm just wondering, assuming that his client's allegations may be true, if the production of that evidence at some future point in time could come back to bite those who voted for Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation.

^^ He clearly wants a run at President, his pinned twitter post is his platform essentially.

^ What's the point, unless it was downright undeniable (video of something terrible), it's a bitch to impeach someone. Half the house and 2/3rds the Senate? Good luck.

I doubt avenatti has any real evidence because he doesn’t have any actual claims.

His claim is that Kavanaugh was at a party or parties where bad stuff happened. This is not something that’s useful. We pretty much already know Kavanaugh was a drunk frat bro.

Remember when he posted a picture of a dvd in a safe?

Seriously, he's gotten lucky and done some good work, but I think he's overall harmful.

None of these people on the TV pay their damn taxes. More serious red flags that Avenatti is a grifter.

He was running low on credibility for a while now, but it’s not like he had any real chance of a serious shot as a politician. As for Stormy? Not sure why this had much to do with her either. That whole thing pretty much served its purpose, which was to make Trump look bad. Most of us already knew Trump is morally bankrupt, so I’m not seeing how this matters in the end.

""My client and I have reviewed the TMZ article alleging that my client, Lisa Storie-Avenatti, has been injured and that Michael Avenatti has been arrested as a result of some incident that occurred between them. This article is not true as it pertains to my client," the statement said. "Ms. Storie-Avenatti was not subject to any such incident on Tuesday night. Further, she was not at Mr. Avenatti’s apartment on the date that this alleged incident occurred. My client states that there has never been domestic violence in her relationship with Michael and that she has never known Michael to be physically violent toward anyone."

Storie-Avenatti, 49, filed for divorce on Nov. 27, 2017, according to court records.

Avenatti's ex-wife, Christine Avenatti-Carlin, also released a statement through attorneys, saying they've known each other for 26 years, and during that time, "he has has never been abusive to me or anyone else. He is a very good man.""

This guy is slimy and credibility is super low after Julie Swetnick. But something doesn't add up in this story yet.

I'm hearing rumors that Surefire Intelligence is behind this one, too.

Just more bullshit from Jacob Wohl?

Didn't his ex-wife come out and say this never happened and that he's actually never been abusive towards her in 20+ years. I mean, the guy is definitely a sleazeball, but this seems like a pretty low effort smear.

Are they just begging to be put in federal prison for fraud?

Not that I'm claiming to have knowledge of Avenatti and his guilt/innocence, but (especially after their debacle from two or three weeks ago) it almost seems like they're announcing to the world that they just framed the guy.

maybe Jacob Wohl is like Al-Queada, where you had nothing to do with the attack, but you’ll claim credit anyways because you know it’ll help with recruitment.
