They played that game at the Miami Heat arena, just like we did on the same day. So it wasn't a home game, because it wasn't at their home court, but it's not really a neutral site because it's still in fucking Miami and Yale is not from Miami.

They lost because they are not good.

I watched some film of Miami and I think they're better than their reccord. They have a good coach, and they do a lot of good things technically. For example, their pick and roll is dynamite as it always is with Laranaga. However, this Miami team plays with low energy and just cruises when they play which perhaps explains some of those WTF loses.

^seems like Miami does this every year...they start kinda slow or have a couple weird losses. and get into form once they get into ACC play.

^I also think one of Miami's best players is waiting for NCAA clearance right now and last I saw an update was expected tomorrow.

He's 6'10" and was expected to be a starter all year. So something tells me if he's cleared Miami is going to instantly look much better.

I've personally seen Miami twice this year... they aren't that good (without their best player). Their game versus Rutgers was one of the worst college basketball games I've ever watched. Yale has a reaaal good player in Miye Oni, but I don't know how they lost to Penn right behind that. The semi-home game was at the Heat arena, same event State played in on December 1st.

You're talking about Dewan Hernandez/Huell, right? I've also seen the update is tomorrow. Hope he doesn't play. He's missed 12 games so far (has to do with NCAA/FBI investigation)

He averaged 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game as a sophomore while shooting 57 percent from the field. Declared but didn't hire an agent and came back.

Yeah I haven’t watched Miami but based on their results compared to ours and their depth...we ought to win. But again, I haven’t watched them and road conference games are rarely easy. It’s a 2.5 point spread for a reason, I guess.

They live off points inside the arc. I doubt they get those against us.

They don't shoot threes at all. That's our main weakness defensively.

Defensively they are horrid.

They are hopelessly tall and have zero depth.

I like NC State vs the spread. This has all the makings of a 30+ point game that might only be a 2.5 point spread.
