I’m kinda surprised KenPom has us favored. That usually lines pretty well with Vegas lines. And I expected us to be slight dogs.

Looks pretty similar to us.. Lose to the good (top 25 teams) except Duke, beat most of the lower teams with a wtf loss or two.

Do we have a Kenpom picture like that? Is that one of the things paying for it gets?

We looked better against Pitt's zone than we have in the previous games. It obviously has to be a point of emphasis since Saturday since that's all they do...

^^ Looking back, Cuse really has played a weak ACC schedule. Obviously the Duke win is super impressive. But outside of that, they’ve lost to the other two good ACC teams they’ve played (FSU and VT). And then they’ve played: ND, Clemson, GT (bad L), Miami, Pitt x2, BC x2. They really have had a fairly easy schedule so far.

^ hope you’re right. Unfortunately I think UL was Duke’s letdown game after the UVa win. They just managed to only be letdown for like 30 mins.

last night in the Duke game, the announcers mentioned multiple times that Duke was in the midst of the hardest game stretch of any team this year...and that was using their BPI metric. i'd be interested to see where we rank in that, because here's our 6 game stretch that we're currently in compared to Duke

Duke - @UVA, @UL, State, UNC, @Cuse, VT

State - UVA, VT, @UNC, @Pitt, Cuse, @Duke

so we share 4 of the 6 opponents, both have 3 home/3 away. they certainly don't play a team as low as Pitt, but they also can't play themselves. obviously it would seem that BPI ranks the combination of @UL and vs State as harder than @Pitt and @Duke (they had @UVA but we had @UNC, seems like largely the home/away would be a wash). it doesn't really matter and i realize i'm arguing with a a computer ranking system. i'm not saying Duke's schedule is easier or harder than ours...mostly pointing out how it's difficult to compare SOS of a mediocre team like us to the SOS of a team like Duke since Duke obviously can't play themselves.
