a lot of the press talked about how good the racing scenes were, but they all fell into the movie thing where if you need to go faster you just shift and push the pedal more and you're faster

Very good movie. Not groundbreaking, but exactly what I hoped it would be.

But most of the in-race shots that were practical (vs CG) were clearly moving at about 20 mph. It was distracting.
