It's pretty good, I recommend it. I think its probably overhyped (93% on rotten tomatoes seems high to me) but adam sandler is great and its definitely worth a watch. Its hectic and doesnt seem to slow down and almost feels like it's a film about nothing at times but it's very good overall. My only criticism would be that I wish there was a bit more character development, but I think that would ruin the feel of the film.

Has anyone that’s seen this seen Good Time? From the reviews and trailers I’ve seen, this seems to be extremely similar, not in specific plot points, but thematically. Not that that’s a bad thing at all, Good Time was fantastic, but from what I can tell, this just kind of seems like a remake with a gambling addicted Sandler trying to save his own ass and family replacing the habitual felon Robert Pattinson trying to get his brother out of jail.

A man at the end of the line, struggling to stay two inches ahead of his problems, the old tricks not working as well as they used to, and finally seeing it all catch up to him.

Finally saw this on Netflix.

I really enjoyed how tense it was, and the ending was interesting.

Oddly enough I felt it was over-hyped a bit but also I had NO expectations going in, so it was right in the middle of solid to good.

I did too, i enjoyed it, very stressful

And not to argue with someone suspended, but it had as much of a plot as any "owe gangsters" type movie and didn't need character development beyond Sandler. The movie pretty fully developed his character.

Just watched it recently as well, it was fine, not anything I want to watch again but I’m glad I saw it. Thought Sandler did a great job and the whole movie was incredibly stressful. I liked that they didn’t just spell out all the background and let the viewer piece it together as things went on.
