Guy in our neighborhood did a full blown fireworks display last night. He definitely doesn't have the qualifications to purchase or set off fireworks legally and didn't get a permit to do so. He put a little notice on Nextdoor saying "don't waste time calling the cops, I'm former LEO and they won't do anything". When someone did call 911 he later gloated that he trained the responder and that they were bored and just hung out.

While the racket from 9:00-9:30pm was annoying and disruptive to my toddler's sleep, I normally wouldn't make a big fuss. But this dude is being a real asshole on Nextdoor to anybody who didn't appreciate his "free show" and now I'm feeling petty. Fuck this guy.

1. Is it worth reporting this to the authorities considering its technically just a class 2 misdemeanor?
2. How do I find out the officer who responded so I can complain about them as well?
3. Where do I confirm if he got the correct permits?

If you wanted to troll someone on NextDoor, you might have to create an account with an address in the same neighborhood as the person you are trying to troll. A lot of discussions are limited to certain neighborhoods so it's not something where you can just have a bunch of people create accounts and do some good old fashioned T-Dubbing.
