It's a dangerous propaganda machine profiting on ignorance.

Change my mind.

The liberal media burns and starves children in Yemen and Syria. The conservative media burned and killed Iraqi children.

Both are propaganda to sell bombs. Why does the media hate children?

It seems hard to believe it’s just about profit. They’re inventing an entirely parallel reality that seems increasingly divergent from normal reality, and increasingly supportive of violence. I don’t know much about the early stages of insurrections in the past but I’d guess they looked a lot like this: wealthy and powerful people convincing the common man that they needed to do violence to preserve their way of life, or people of different skin color will come and kill them.

^ If you look at what happened in the Soviet Union and Germany it definitely feels like some of the ingredients are there.

It's always one elite group rotating in for another backed by a Nobel lie. The new elite has to keep some of the old for stability. As the Nazis rose to power their opposition suddenly became Nazi too.

What violence in particular is supported?

French revolution from La Wik:

Quote :
""Historians generally view the underlying causes of the French Revolution as the result of the Ancien Régime's failure to manage social and economic inequality. Rapid population growth and the inability to adequately finance government debt resulted in economic depression, unemployment and high food prices.[6] These combined with a regressive tax system and resistance to reform by the ruling elite to produce a crisis Louis XVI proved unable to manage.""

Is that like when Trump said he deserved the Peace Prize?

It's like when politicians say they are backed by the will of the people. In a monarchy saying the king or emperor is descended from God or an actual God. Justification of the state to exercise it's will.
