I don’t think chambers is a bad passer really. But when you pass so much on 1st down, it’s easy to get behind the chains and then you’re forced to pass on 2nd and 3rd. I know first down runs are predictable but I don’t really get what we’re doing

This is atrocious.

That is the worst half of offensive (pun intended?) football I think ive ever seen

10 combined false starts, State didn't complete a pass past the LOS til 2nd quarter, multiple shit punts, PUNTING FROM OUR OWN 38, flubbed snaps, dropped interception, even the dog missed the tee!

Also how was that hit on Morris not targeting??

If I’m looking at this right, we’ve run 40 plays. 6 are rushes by RB. And 1 rush by Gray. I don’t get it. I know some of those QB runs were read options and the QB chose to keep.

It just makes no sense to me. Our play calling demonstrates no confidence in the QBs. All screens and QB runs, very few downfield attempts. But if you don’t trust the QBs to pass more than 5 yards downfield, why not lean on Houston more? I know DSK is out. But that doesn’t seem to fully explain it. Pennix is not JaySam, obviously. But they’ve said they wanna use him in a similar role. He could get touches out of the backfield maybe?

That roll out pass by VT to Wright (I think) is something we never do. We don’t scheme our guys open. We just run screens. It’s weird.

Also fuck that DPI call. Multiple missed calls against VT’s D. But we’ll call that.

Also. Pass interference is a great reason to throw downfield! Sometimes they call it! And you can get yardage even without completing a pass.

So I know Boo is our AD and doing the CFP shit this year. So I get why they interview him. But this shit is what’s so annoying to fans of, like, 95% of teams. Neither team in this game will be in the CFP. Yet we spend like 10 minutes talking about it and totally ignoring the action on the field. Seeing 0 replays and getting 0 insight of what’s happening on the field.

In game interviews are never good. They always detract from the actual game and action on the field.
