pre-entry from the link and image button pop-ups on TWW?

1. Most everything has shifted from http to https, so it's not helpful as a pre-entry
2. Typically a full link is copied and pasted, so the pre-entry must first be deleted (more tedious on a mobile device)

Second level, how hard would it be to remove the pre-entry entirely? From a phone, it's a frequent minor annoyance.
