^^^I did some Bojangles napkin math and if TWW were to do this, it would net the TWW investors/shareholders tens of dollars in ad revenue so it’s a no-brainer on the financial side. You could even have enough left over to give out a consolation (losers) prize, like a bag of candy corn or marbles.

every year I buy a bunch of turkeys when they're the loss leader at Food Lion
then I cut them up and prep them, vacuum seal them

sometimes I pre-smoke them

I'd give a smoked turkey, broken down into parts, to the winner of this so long as they were local and willing to meet up

It feels like a pretty respectable gift. I might even be able to freeze it and ship it via USPS but I don't want to cover shipping costs.

I should have packaging suitable for it by then, though, because I'm about to order a bunch of meat from Usinger's of Milwaukee and they ship in styrofoam with ice packs. I'll hold onto that packaging for a little bit just in case.

I saw some clip online where a family buys all their meat for months ahead of time, in bulk (like one cow) from a local rancher and then they freeze it and use the meat over time.

yeah I kind of do stuff like that

I purchase large amounts on sale and vacuum seal it.

These days I'm using a vacuum chamber sealer (the Avid Armor USV32). It's amazing.

Then stuff gets labeled and stored in the deep freezer. I used to keep a spreadsheet of what was in there but I got lazy.

But with a sous vide I will often cook some of the meats (especially the tougher cuts) in advance then freeze. This means that week night meals are often boil in bag or defrost and sear in cast iron kind of deals. It's awesome.
