Our old friend TGD says debates are useless as media orgs try to get trump and Biden to debate

I don’t think debates would happen because seems like Biden would just have to repeat 88 felonies and rape liability over and over again, but I still think they matter

Presidents are more than just middle managers they can and should represent a vision for the country. They speak to the implicit social contract that’s part of democracies.

I just so hope Donald Trump doesn't win. That would be such a bummer.

60% of Threads users are moms between the ages of 30 and 50, and the other 40% are progressives

I do; I got sick of Twitter platforming Neo-Nazis. It's not really relevant to this topic, though.

I'm happy to discuss it in this one: /message_topic.aspx?topic=652678

I don't really know if I can watch one of these again (even though I will, if they have them). After the first so-called "Presidential" debate in 2020, I felt like I was going to be physically ill. I was sad for America.

Despite Donald Trump suggesting that he wants there to be more debates, I don't expect him to even attend the ones that are scheduled.

I feel like it would be to his benefit to continue labeling Joe Biden as sleepy, dementia Joe and to his detriment for there to be a side-by-side comparison between him and "sleepy, dementia Joe."

The muting rule... bittersweet. I'm gonna enjoy this debate either way, though.

My thoughts:

When Trump essentially said they're wasting time on stage trying to justify Biden's Presidency, I think that resonated on both sides.

k thx

Trump alone can fix this Third World shithole country that has been living through hell for 3.5 years.

Why does this guy have to be the figurehead? He's garbage. Glad that resonated with you, because he didn't say anything of substance the whole night, but he succeeded at looking less frail. He's our man!
