We have a pop up private school in our neighborhood. Lady across the street donated $1000 to help get it going. They are now moving to a real school building because the same lady that donated reported them to the state for improper parking and it created a huge can of worms in remediations they had to do to stay legal.

Her name is.... Karen.

My step-mom, who as always had an edgy biting sense of humor, is in the stage of dementia where she comes off just mean. Some people with Alzheimer's do seem mean, but I think in her case is more of a lack of social cues from not being as mentally alert as someone without dementia. She's alienated most of her friend group, and is down to just one Saturday lunch with some girls she's known for 25 years.

One of the girls, kind of ring leader, brings her sister. The sister is relaying a heart felt story about how she felt dumb as a child when her mom held her back in the 5th grade. My step-mom interjects, "WELL WHAT ARE YOU STUPID?!"

My step-mom is now disinvited to that group as well.
