I had a part time job at The Cary News when I was a teenager. I made $4.25/hr
When I worked at PackBackers I originally made $5.15/hr. But that didn't last long I got a $.25/hr raise after the first back to school (all the other new hires only got $.10/hr raise cus I'm awesome at my job and they're all a bunch of slackers who couldn't tell you the difference between an ISBN and a SKU)

$5.25 bagging groceries after school at Winn-Dixie. That was 2004 and minimum wage was $5.15. I remember getting bumped to $5.50 after a few months.

Worked at Food Lion after Winn-Dixie closed all the NC stores in 2005, but don't remember what I made there. Something like $6-7, iirc.

In 2006 I started doing lawncare and landscaping for $15/hr cash on Friday and was killing it until I had to head to Raleigh in the fall. I spent fall, xmas, and spring break back home working for that guy and the next summer he paid me $20/hr.

My first job was also at Winn Dixie, when I was 14. Minimum was was $4.75/hr.... And I was happy to get it. I worked Saturday and Sunday, and had a cool $70 at the end of the weekend.

$6/hr at Carowinds. Fuckin hated that job. A fat person sat on my hand and squashed a nerve in a finger. I completely lost feeling in it for a few months.

If I were a more talented individual, with more time on my hands, I'd write a theme song for the Broadback Strangler. Id even put it to a animated short film.



Alas, I gotta get off this Internet machine. .if I get some more work done, I can make this a half day, go get a haircut, and then ride my motorcycle a bit before I have to pick up the kiddo from daycare.
