Haha, i went to the movies with one of my friends to see sin city, and when the trailer for episode III came up I was like shhhh don't talk, she called me a nerd but I didn't care I got to watch the trailer in peace. It got me really pumped about Star Wars again, I felt like a kid. 4/18/2005 9:42:01 AM |

I just preordered my ticket.
BTW, that website has quite a few spoilers in its description of the movie (mostly stuff that sets up the plot).

the upbeat-pseudo-Disney-happy-voiceover is an attempt to attract "kids" to go see it as if it was a G movie... although GL has explicitly said he's ok with it being PG-13...
and these voice overs are actually on par with the "real" star wars trailers from the late 70s. Maybe an appeal to some of the older fans 4/20/2005 11:03:19 PM |

Kids dont like crap either, and if they do, they grow out of it and realize its dumb. If you try to make it appeal just to kids right now then it ends up being too trendy/stupid and loses its timelessness (hence episode I and II.

when i first saw I and II, I was kinda disappointed, but then i went back and watched them this week, and they really arent that bad, if you just kinda ignore jar jar and make yourself get into all the cgi 4/23/2005 1:42:17 AM |

Quote : | "Hollywood mogul George Lucas struggled so much with writing the screenplay for final Star Wars installment Episode Iii - Revenge Of The Sith, he had to force himself to stick to a rigid working day as he sought inspiration. The hugely successful movie-maker, 60, took on the persona of a normal office worker as he sat at his desk for nine hours a day, five days a week - and he still only managed to produce five pages everyday. He says, "I am very diligent about writing. I go to work at 8.30am and leave at 6pm. I sit there with that page in front of me but I still can't write it. I do get it done, I actually write five pages a day. But I force myself - otherwise I would probably write a page a day."" |
