Aww the poor Mets had to play a team with a winning record and lost 2 out of 3. Man it sucks when you actually have to play a good team. Granted one of the games was only 4 1/2 innings, but nonetheless.

^ They are the third youngest team in the NL, had the 1-2-3 in their lineup out for about two weeks, and have played about 65% of their games on the road. So to this point in the season, they are not a good team, but hopefully they'll turn it around. Frenchy and Giles can't possibly continue to flirt with the Mendoza line all season (knock on wood).

As for the comment on the Mets/Phils series, I just posted that because knew I could get a response from you. The Mets are still the strongest team in the NL East with the best lineup. The starting pitching is suspect and Wagner has been inconsistent, but Pedro/Glavine should = playoffs.

Yeah, the mets will make it to the playoffs but as a wildcard. They won't beat the braves. They are arguably, the best team in the NL. But i've seen weak braves teams before come out on top (see: last year)

A new pitcher comes in. I saw him throwing along the bullpen. He had a hell of an arm. He was throwing in the upper 90s it seemed. I said to the person I was with, "If he throws one of those over the plate, this game is over."

rochy is on my shit list again. He majorly got on it in the playoffs last year when he loafed around 3rd base and got called out at home plate.. In a game where we lost in extra innings!! Granted we were up a few runs at the time.. BUT GD HUSTLE ALL THE TIME!!

Laroche needs to be traded imho. He can't hit lefties worth crap. Defensively, he's a decent 1B, but it's the little things he does... he has no work ethic. The play ^^'s talking about and the play today. He seems lazy.

No he finished it out. But he did the ultimate crime... he had the chance to end an inning and because of his laziness, pretty much sealed the game. Had that not happened, Thompson, who was pitching well, would've gone a few more innings and had a chance at a win...

To a lesser extent, this is kind of like Vanderjagt missing that field goal v. pittsburgh. After that, his teammates lost all faith in him. And his ass got traded, even though he was one of the better kickers in the league.


Laroche needs to go. There is no excuse for what happened.




And andruw always looks lazy because it is so easy for him. Center field is nothing to him... when he looks lazy, he looks classy and in control.


Laroche just looked like a fucking retard.

Bobby won't pull a guy if he can do one thing really good. If he can hit lights out, he'll keep a bad defensive player in, If he's a great fielder and has an arm, but sucks at the plate, he'll keep him. So judging by those 2 conditions. Rochy will probably be gone by the end of the season.
