I kinda doubt it; if he were a cylon, why go through the trouble and risk of recruiting him when they could have simply flipped a switch in his unconcious mind? If I remember, didn't Duck move a few rows ahead of him? At least enough so that hey could have survived the explosion?

No, Jammer was shaking hands with Duck just seconds before the lineup and "diploma" presentation. He was 1 row behind and 2 to the right of him, if memory serves. No way he could've survived it. If he doesn't turn out to be a Cylon sleeper, I'll be astonished. I almost think that perhaps this is another Cylon-concocted test to see how deeply a Terminator (sleeper) Cylon's attachment to the humans may go. I guess we'll find out more next episode.

I think jammer is on the path to redemption. He was talking to chief, saying "some guys might be in too deep. maybe they wanted to do some good, but ended up just being puppets for the cylons"

OK, so the premiere was shown again this afternoon and I got to see that Jammer is a bit further away from Duck than I had originally thought. I guess he could have survived it... although I would think that that much plastique would have cleared out the whole room. Maybe it's just improvised stuff.

Something which kinda bugs me now - why doesn't Cally recognize Jammer's voice? They both worked as flight deck crew since before the war started.

Oh yeah, one more thing. At the very end when the Centurions fire on the Galactica landing party, the machine gun fire sounds significantly different than the fire you hear when Cally is running from the firing squad. Sounds much more like smaller caliber carbine fire than the larger assault weapons the Centurions carry.

^I'm pretty sure it wasn't plastique. Tigh said they were making explosives out of fertilizer, and while it obviously packed quite a punch it was still homemade, so I can see it not clearing out the entire room. Despite arguments for or against this, if they wanted Jammer to survive they really should have shown him leaving the room or getting up from the rubble.

Cally might have just missed his voice because she was in shock. I mean, she pretty much realized she was being led to her death, and out of nowhere a guard frees her? I'd be a bit confused too. And what if she did realize it was him? Is she gunna stop to talk to him and get shot while she's yackin? Maybe when she gets back to Chief she'll mention Jammer was one of the NCP
