I'll just post this here even though it's not Premiership instead of creating a new thread.

If you want to get season tickets for the Carolina Railhawks for cheaper than normal, you have until December 31st to order. Members of Triangle Soccer Fanatics, the fanclub that will have its own section and try to be an English-style supporter club, can get season tickets next season for only $89. But it is only good til the end of this year.

More details of this and how to sign up at this link. http://www.trisoccerfan.com/index.php?itemid=477&catid=11#more

My favorite part of goals like these is the commentators' reactions.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but other sports (with the exception of hockey), simply by their design, rarely feature such amazing feats that come from nowhere and these men are charged with saying something about what's just happened when, as fans of the game, they sit in the same gleeful astonishment that befalls Joe F. Punter.

damn milan for letting Lille sneak in the back door over AEK

but with a 2-2 draw with anderlecht with the final 16 on the line, you really don't deserve to be there anyways i suppose

^^very true. Qualification for the knockout round was already secured (something they have never done), so mentally I think they let their guard down in Denmark. I think Milan might sleep on them thinking that they got an easy draw and with the 1st leg at Parkhead, i definitely like our chances to pull the upset.

I'm more excited for Liverpool-Barca

It might be cliche but I really think this could be entertaining. Liverpool's form has been getting better in EPL and since they're done in the league race, they definitely have something to play for in these next two games. And I think they have a legit shot (although I don't think they'll win it) because one of these games is at Anfield and they are awesome at home.

meh, everyone expects liverpool-barca to be good, but it's going to be one-sided, I think.

Lyon - Roma is going to be balls to the wall good in both matches.

^Dunno, i think lyon have too much quality for roma to handle. Look out for inter valencia, that could be a cracker. I would love to see munich dump out madrid. Utd have it the easiest in my opinion, good thing too!! anyone see a dramatic 15 mins during the arsenal pompey game? i couldn't believe how that game just lit up.

tim howard is never gettin anywhere in the premiership unless he fixes his positioning problem, or giving some effort, that was just terrible, he barely slapped at it...there really is no reason for that goal to go in

watch that clip again, how are you gonna play goalie at a world class level and just slap at it....its his job to keep the ball out of the net, he has to show more effort in keeping out of the net, hes a freakin goalkeeper...

the shot was nice, but i think in the mls he relied too much on athleticism and not on technique...why do you think man u shipped him off on loan for a 37 yr old(or however old he is, point is hes old), goalie is more about technique and positioning, tim howard doesnt posess this enough to stay in the premiership

you can see the everton defenders put their hands up in disbelief after it went in...i think that was directed at howard's effort

^^ I doubt Cech, Van der Sar, or Buffon could've done better trying to stop that. Give credit where credit's due, that shot was a fucking blazer.

and don't you know keepers only get better with age?

How's this for pure idiocy?

Apparently some Greek Cypriot fans of Arsenal were upset about seeing a Turkish Cypriot flag flying at Ashburton Grove (the Turkish part of Cyprus is split off from the main Greek part for 25-30 years) . They then went and complained to Arsenal management about it. Arsenal management, mindful that they could not ban one flag and still allow others, then banned all national flags, including the England flag. They should've just told the Greek Cypriots to bugger off.

Let 'er fly!

WOW!! love how Tim Howard is getting blamed for that Drogba wondergoal!! Give the Ivorian some credit man, its amazing how goalkeepers are expected to be superhuman sometimes!! It was a screemer, that's that. Utd didn't loan howard out because he lacks technique, Van der Saar is more experienced and clearly out of place at Fulham.

I agree. One could argue that if he'd read the play a bit better he might've had a chance at tipping it over the bar, but to suggest that it was a shot that definitely should've been saved is ludicrous.

As a goal keeper he could have been positioned a little better but drogba didnt really give him much time to get back. He chested it and then kicks the shit out of it.

That shit is knuckling from left to right too. Those types of balls are the hardest to stop cause you have no idea where the hell they are going coupled with the fact that they are hauling major ass.

CRAZINESS in the first quarter of an hour, Dyer (3') and Martens (7') for United and Danny Murphy (15') for Spurs.
