Bear Naked granola thingers, nutrigrain bars, carrots, celery, wheat crackers, apples, bananas, strawberries....pretty much everything.

My coworker said my faint feelings could be from over exerting myself, is this a possibility? I hope not because I want to work hard and lose it!

I thought maybe it was a blood sugar issue but eleusis said no! My coworker said I need to eat like two hours before going to the gym, which I don't. I either go at 9am after I wake up or 8pm after work when my lunch break was at noon.

I really hope it's not the over-exertion because I don't want to put a limit on what I can do, I only have hour sessions, I want them to be worth it!

^If you're only doing an hour a day, and eating healthy enough to support the exercise I wouldn't think that'd be the issue.

Good. He works me hard, to the point where it hurts to do another one, and I get all sweaty and dizzy then. It passes but I gotta concentrate for a quick minute before going again.

My coworker was like "Have you told him?" I was like no. Gosh, who'd do such a thing?!

i eat steak every night!

i've got a corned beef brisket in the oven and some cabbage to have tonight

here's my diet:

breakfast: fruit, usually cantelope or honeydew, and strawberries

pre-lunch: salad with 2 tablespoons of whatever dressing i want (big fan of onion peppercorn)

lunch: tuna steak or Boneless skinless chicken breast, and salad

post lunch: hard boiled egg whites, or fruit

dinner: chicken breast or steak (ny strip or sirloin), steamed veggies, and maybe a salad, if i'm feelin it.

my salads are usually just the Fresh Xpress pre-packaged salads with added chopped or grape tomatos

you'd think this would be expensive, but it's really not, because i don't drink alcohol, i don't go out to eat, and i really don't shop that much (because i'm not buying clothes until they fall off my bum).

this week i got some flavorless oatmeal that i'm stewing strawberries and peaches to add to, i figure that will give me a carb boost in time for saturday's 8 mile run i'm planning.

the only supplements i'm taking are a multi-vitamin (centrum knockoff), a potassium supplement (because i hate cramps AND bananas), and whey protein. i thought about l-glutamine, but i'm not there yet, realistically. i'll hold off on that for as long as i have to, and may never really take it.

Lately my diet has consisted of

breakfast; banana or granola bar

pre lunch; bear naked nuts and berries, granola bar, fruit

lunch; uncrustable pb and j sammich(so easy just thaw and eat), carrots w/ tiny bit of dipping sauce for flavor, something sweet maybe a hershey kiss or fruit

after lunch; granloa bar

dinner; another sammich, or cooked meal with lots of veggies.

I'm determined to learn how to cook now! I read online that they recommend 7 hours of exercise a week, I'm averaging 4 and a half. But I make those half hours worth my visit.

I feel good tonight!

yeah, you should really cut that shit out...they're unhealthy, go for a pb and j on whole wheat bread

also, cut the carbs from your last meal

It's a small sandwich with 210 calories, 6 grams of protien, not much sodium and no saturated fat. If that's the worst thing I eat I'm ok with that.

for that amount of calories you could have a large veggie wrap, or soup and salad, or a veggie burger, or a turkey wrap, etc. you just need to watch the condiments and the bread.

10 grams of sugar
260 grams of sodium
25 carbs

if you're looking to cut weight, you cut the simplest things first...that would be one.

also studies have shown that regardless of the intensity of a work out, a longer work out session is going to increase HGH (human growth hormone) more than a shorter one.

^that's correct. also, studies have shown that losing weight via prolonged exercise preserves muscle mass better than short duration exercise and calorie restriction.

^ Yeah, I mean you really don't have to work all the hard to lose weight, if you eat healthier and do pre-breakfast cardio it'll be easy. Seriously, go to the gym and set a treadmill to a fast walk on an incline (3-4 percent is fine) and go at it for 45-90 min

I recently started playing DDR, and I get a fairly decent cardio workout from doing that. Playing that game for a couple of hours a night is a lot more entertaining than my normal cardio routine at the gym.

don't ever get discouraged. just because it takes you a while to see results doesn't mean that they aren't achievable. talk to anyone that has lost massive amounts of weight, and most of them will tell you that it took a year or more to get to the weight and look they wanted originally. lots of people will lose some initial weight quickly, but they too also had to struggle for that last 10-15 pounds they wanted to take off.

you got your whole life to be healthy, so don't fool yourself into thinking it all needs to come off in 3 months. losing even as little as 5 pounds a month will have you at your goal in less than a year.

i'm so glad I don't give a fuck about my weight other than "am I in shape or not?"

last time i checked I was 198 or so, but in much better shape now that I'm swimming ~6 miles a week

I still need to find something to chew on or drink while at work other than water and soda water is good but not 80oz of it....

I need some female cuddling or something as lame as it sounds, but I get jittery when I don't have enough human contact (sex or no sex really, just contact)

but yeah you could lose 50 by july...

i'm looking up ultimate teams / pickup games here in durham so i have something to do on off swimming days.... plus I'm pretty good at it...

I saw my family this weekend and a friend I hadn't seen in a while and everyone said I looked great w/out me telling them about the diet.

I don't know if I am losing weight though. I got this scale but it is all over the board all the time... Grrr...

A weird question though... This last week my rings (which used to fit really well) are slipping off my fingers and I am having to move them up to the middle finger instead of the ring finger... Why is this exactly? Am I really losing weight in my hands???

I just didn't know because I didn't think my hands were fat or anything before... I mean the rings that are falling off are a size 6 which is pretty small.
