i hate celine dion's music, but she can sing, most of the Idols could have done more jsutice to wind beneath my wings than midler was doing when i started to ff. what a replacement!

so??? how many people by albums for something like that? in terms of pure talent the obvious choice was melinda doolittle. the problem with this show is it's more of a popularity contest than a singing contest. i know this has been said before but i feel it needs to be said again

I have 2 things to say regarding tonight's finale:

1) I was waiting all night to see Daughtry perform because my DVR stopped recording last night as they took the stage. It would have been much better to see them again than fucking Sangina.

2) I am in love with Carrie Underwood

omni: I look at this as more performance based..as in, who would I see live. Blake would easily be better live between the two.

And as for Doolittle, my wife & I kept saying all season that if she won she'd do a gospel album. Had no idea she actually already was in a gospel band. She'll still make a gospel album now anyway.

Another thing is Blake actually might come out really nicely here, because now he isn't locked into the "American Idol contract" and can field offers from whatever labels will def. be calling him.
