he will be bioweapon'd...and within the next couple hours we will learn about an antidote. he will try to obtain the antidote but in the process, he will have to choose between his own life and someone else's (possibly Renee Walker)...the viewing public will be led to believe that Jack may choose to sacrifice himself, but then Tony will sacrifice HIMself to save both Jack and Renee/whoever, maybe like 6-7 hours from the present

Jack's signed on for several more. There was an interview on tvguide.com with him the other day saying he wasn't going anywhere. This character revived his career and it's up to the writers to decide when 24 ends or when 24 with Jack Bauer ends. but until that time, he's here to stay.

sometimes I wish the writers would use more tactical sense, but then it wouldn't be a crazy awesome firefight and the show would be over because jack/tony would have killed the 9 dudes

If Jack had kept his silencer on he could have easily offed the guy the sent to check on the first dead guy, then it would only be 8 on 2, and Jack probably could have sniped one or two more silently before the others could pinpoint where the shooting was coming from, and by that point Tony could have set up on a flanking corner and lit them up when they were taking defense from Jack's direction

honestly jack looks way too old now to pull off a prequel, i noticed how much younger he looked then when i watched season one again

also, pretty much saw the deception coming, especially with the whole presidential pardon first, and how nobody ever seemed to question the legitimacy of the dude's claims

So, I figure Starkwood's leverage against the government is going to be some sort of vaccine that stops the infection. They release the virus and then the government either complies with their demands or millions die. It's quite obvious to me that Jack is going to end up okay, and that is the only possible explanation I can come up with that saves him; the existence of a vaccine or anti-dote.

They've never done a season before that is a continuation of the previous day. Season 8 would have to start the day after season 7 for that to work, which I don't see happening. I also think there is too much time left in this day for Jack to be incapacitated for the remainder.

all the scenes in the underground weapons bunker - with the scientists running around with white coats and clipboards, carrying 8x11" color printouts of pathogens, and anonymous henchmen running around with guns was like something straight out of Austin Powers.

and I guess i can "buy" the President standing around in the Oval Office by herself approximately 90% of the time, but sending her into a server room alone to take a phone call from a mad man?


it's time to get Jack back in action. I guess Kim will show up in the next hour (Walker or the Dr will contact her), they will extract a stem cell and perform the experimental procedure in record time, he will be cured, then he can go back to kicking ass and taking names

yeah the lack of jack is starting to get annoying. The best part was the double takedown by tony about half way into the episode.


and my god, the elevator ride and the virus print-outs...what a joke. If they wanted to do something shocking they should have just had tony blow the whole underground bunker up and sacrifice himself.

That entire episode was Metal Gear Solid. From the injections Jack has to give himself, to the way Tony infiltrated the base and even the way the scientists were acting and everything looked. Not to mention Tony snapping photos of a WMD. It's been like this all season but they aren't even trying to hide it anymore. I would only be half way surprised if Hodges' endgame was to load those missiles into a bipedal amphibious tank and blackmail the entire planet.

Fuck, Tony was even dressed like Snake from MGS1. The writers have to be aware of the parallels at this point.
