i will say that a couple of the cpu's interceptions on me are bs...like the guy is clearly open and the cb all of the sudden jumps 5yds in front to intercept...its a bad looking, unrealistic animation

I don't know if I'm just playing stout defense, but Jimmie Sutton is good in zone coverage, haha. He's the leading candidate for the defensive player of the year in my dynasty with like 9 INT's, 2 FF's, and 6 defensive TD's(including a 102-yard INT return for TD).

And yeah the computer LB's have miraculous ups at times and make some hard-to-believe int's.

Usually you have 3 plays to choose from on your screen...actually 6 because you can choose the 3 above it also whereas on this game you just can choose the one you are on.

First offensive possession against UNC in my dynasty came on the 3-yard line after a defensive stop. First play I run a Power-I HB Lead just trying to get out of the endzone...97-yard TD. Haha, guess I have my first definite saved play, haha, and it just happened to come against UNC.

Also just got my first punt block in this year's game, returned it for a TD, haha.

i wish people would read first...there's 4 plays on the screen at a time...so lets say you find your play that you want. you press and hold down "A" on the controller and that selects the play but you can move it to another play to throw them off (While still holding down A) and then let go...the first play you picked is the one you run

Wow, I saved my first video and went to the Main Menu and you can see it playing on the TV in the background, what a really cool little feature, haha.

I'm going to buy this today. It seems like Jaybee's grip is the realism still isn't there but I'm willing to trade a bit of that if the sound, graphics and framerate is as good as most EA titles...

Recruiting is insane... almost takes too much time... I only played one game and got raliroaded by UGa with State... I used the sliders and they were pretty good. I just made some bad decisions with the passing game.

Next weekend I'm going to be a sloth and just play this all day and see where we go. The graphics are great though and the sound is top notch...

im finally starting dynasty tonight, and im picking some random ass team with a decent stadium(so i can build that up to be feared place to play)...ive narrowed my decision to either vanderbilt, utep, byu(coolest background in the game), or Indiana...leaning towards indiana right now

and im playing on heisman

^^ I like using shitty teams too... BYU is too good, Vandy has a HORRIBLE stadium, Indiana is a really good one to use, some others that I am thinking about using:

Syracuse (great stadium)
Illinois
SMU (my front runner)
Duke
ECU
Northwestern (maybe too good)

so i just moved out to boulder and unpacked my ps2 to find it must have broken in transit

i hadn't bought ncaa 08 yet, but was planning on getting it once i got here. now i'm trying to decide if i should just go get a ps3 or 360, and get 08 on the new system, rather than replacing the ps2.

question - which system would you recommend, if you only used it for sports gaming?

If you want to play any of your ld PS2 games, a PS3...if you only want to play a few games and don't care about any other features (and don't have an HDTV), just get a core 360

the ps3 version of ncaa runs at 30 frames, xbox at 60 fps, if that makes a difference, dunno about madden yet though on the ps3

^ I read somewhere else that the statement was incorrect... but either way if you are just doing sports (like me) go with the 360 I guess, just cause its cheaper

ea sports is the one who came out and confirmed that 360 is at 60fps while ps3 is at 30fps...its not like something someone just made up on a messageboard

i think it's hilarious the deal that's made out of that...it's perfectly smooth on the PS3.

but the added bonus of the 360 is that you get to play russian roulette with your console. maybe you get a box that fails, maybe you don't...it's like a free packed in game!!

so i started campus challenge mode or whatever...running back...balled out a little in my high school playoffs and became a 5 star recruit...went to Texas as the 3rd string RB...worked my way up to 1st string within a couple weeks...and by the end of the season i had the heisman and the entire legend meter filled up...now i'm a sophomore with about a 95 overall rating...are you supposed to progress this fast? i wonder if i should try going to a school where i'd be the 5th stringer

also tried to be a MLB...kinda tricky...all I could muster in the high school playoffs was a couple tackles and a pass deflection every game...I'm pretty good at ILB on regular game modes but the campus challenge has the shifting/rotating camera angles and that caused me a lot of troubles...didnt seem nearly as bad as a HB or QB though

wtf? i was planning on buying mine used of craigslist, whether 360 or ps3. the 360's have hardware problems?

before the flaiming starts, i hadn't been planning to get a new system until the prices dropped, but then my ps2 shit the bed....

so i started with indiana last night on heisman, and destroyed the first team...but the recruiting process is annoying, enough so that i actually just turned the game off while trying to talk to a recruit on the phone

its gonna take me a little while to get used to this new recruiting format

ahah goalielax sounds like a nerdass fella, which says alot since this is a thread about a videogame

and of course it runs smooth if its locked at a steady 30 fps, while 360 is locked at 60. i dont see how it went this long to get games at 60 frames, the difference is crazy

first of all, that was a joke...so don't go getting your xbox panties in a fucking wad again (I swear you guys have some napoleon complex over your console)

yes you're right...the $1B writeoff MS had to take this year is clearly indicitative of very rare problems with hardware

Quote :
"nerdass fella"

really? that's what you came with? fucking weaksauce

BTW, TV, movies, etc are all 30 FPS...does 60 FPS matter in a football game? no...in a FPS, yes
