^yeah, I'm not buying it.

Everyone I know who watched the show liked Dick as well. If you read any of the BB8 message boards, they are overwhelmingly in favor of the Donatos. I highly doubt CBS had to skew anything to keep Dick in. Without Dick, I would have stopped watching weeks ago as it would have been boring as hell. In fact, the week that Dick was about to go home, both my wife and I declared we were finished with the show.

^i kinda said the same thing in reverse. i said i was done with the show when they decided to keep him. actually, i didn't have a HUGE problem with dick...my problem was with daniele. i probably wouldn't have been bitter with the show if she had of left a earlier. i would have liked to see dick stay (for entertainment), but daniele would have to go.

if daniele had of left, i think dick would have teamed with eric and jessica and actually made a run to the end with eric, like they agreed on. dick turned on eric and jess because of daniele, and i don't think he really wanted to. i wish that was the way it had of played out.

They would have had to turn on each other eventually. You either turn when you have control, or you become the victim like eric and jess did. To think you can get through the whole game without turning on someone at all is naive. I never had a problem with the way that Danielle or Dick played strategy-wise. I honestly don't think Eric and Jess had a problem with getting evicted at that point either. Jess just wanted to know ahead of time rather than being lied to all week.

Danielle was whiny as hell. Dick was rude as hell, although I think the dustin, amber, jameka crowd had anything they got coming to them. They were obnoxiously pious and acting like they were the "good" people then talking all kinds of shit behind backs. Jen is the only one I felt sorry for when she was getting roasted by Dick, and he never let up on her because he knew it got to her. He kept at it because he just didn't like her and he knew he could rattle her for competitions and she was essentially the only other person who could win them regularly. If they showed a fraction of the shit he said to Jen on the tv show, alot of people wouldn't have liked him I think.

Everyone I know who watched the show hated Dick. And I don't know which message boards you frequented, but I was really into tvclubhouse and there certainly wasn't overwhelming support for the Donatos.

people on the show have stated that when the game was over and in their private diary room sessions that ED is a totally different person.

yeah, obviously the majority of America was in favor of Dick based on how they voted for Eric to whatever it was with influencing, etc.
if you watch any type of reality tv show, the people at the end who get questioned by the people who have already been eliminated, like survivor, they are always bitter and angry, and the people in the end have always ended up playing a more strategic game than the rest, and had to lie, manipulate, etc, in order to be there. that's what a lot of people dont understand is. no one is going to get to the end if they have the "oh ill just play the game as is, and hopefully it gets me to the final", people work together to better themselves in the game, and take out who is neccessary to get there, it's simple.

^ Not neccessarily, Zach almost made it to the final 2 and barely won any competitons till the final weeks and with practically no allies or friends. I think the final 3 are lucky that Eric was not able to vote when Dustin got evicted. Dick would have surely got evicted however, I do agree that the season would be rather boring without him.

I am too glad that Danielle didn't win. Granted she won alot in the game, it's her young stupid personality that really didn't deserve the money. I think Dick played the game well and was for the most part true in his words and actions. He just told it like it was and didn't care what people thought. However he did over do it at times.

It would be interesting to see how a different season (spring instead of summer) would have on the game, especially the choice of contestants. Big Brother requires the longest time commitment of any of the reality shows. Would a spring start eliminate some, such as college students, from participating?

I wouldn't mind seeing celebrity big brother in the US. They do celeb BB in the UK every January and then regular BB in the summer. They're both pretty interesting to watch. Dennis Rodman was on one season of UK celeb BB.
