Oh, shut up... he is playing better now but he was flat AWFUL at the start of ACC play. He looked like he was over his head. He really should be a backup at best at this point in his career... it's not his fault he was pressed into a position he wasn't ready for...

I can't stand this "fandom" crap where when we win people try and act like they didn't criticize the team when we were losing by 40 to our main rivals or getting outscored by 30 in one half versus our other rival or losing to UNO and ECU...

^^^^ I was critical of the team as well... I was even critical of some of javi's boneheaded plays, but there were an asston of people who were calling for the kid's head and saying he wasn't worthy of a scholarship or to play in the ACC.

It was pretty easy to see that he plays tenacious D, and plays with alot of heart win or lose. Even when he was fucking up every other play, he was still playing balls out as hard as he could which you couldn't say for some of the other guys on the team. He is a true freshman and everyone here was shitting on him and blaming him for losses.

i say there's a difference between people criticizing what they see and calling for coaches to be fired and for players to transfer. anyone with a brain could have told you that javi is a freshman and in his first few college games he's going to suck. but that if you give him time, chances are he will improve. i told. he improved.

I ragged Javi/Marques and still have been. Did you see the Duke game the other night? Hell they both telegraphed passes straight to Nelson/Henderson/etc.

Javi has drastically improved on offense and hopefully his shot will come around. His defense is still atrocious. Yes he hustles and gets steals but he loses his man way too much like the end of the game when Ish Smith left him in the dust for the game-tying layup. You all go from game to game and change your mind about everything. We honestly could and possibly should be 0-7 in the ACC. Our team sill has a lot of work to do.
