GB is hott right now and Lambeau is getting cold, that is a definite loss
Cardinals (yeah they'll be contending for a wildcard since someone else will win the division...), Bucs, Packers, Bears, Falcons, Skins, and now the Cowboys all breathing down their neck
What do 90% odds mean anyway? I legitimately don't understand, I trust my Tampa Bay homerism over any kind of statistical trends since I bring facts

1st Id like to point out that Tree twista is a complete idiot!!! Is it me or do his statements make no sense. Id love for him to quit posting, but that wont happen so Ill move on. Also Id like to address the Ryan Grant statement, no he did not run all over you, Brandon Jackson did, which is worse. Nearly 8 yards a carry.
Also, posting 1 lowsey post doesnt give you credibility to come shove the win in my face. Back up your argument and then when you are right, let me kmow about it. 2 fools on here wrote "LOCK" and "the Panthers will make playoffs" and then come talk shit whenever the Panthers win. Where were you when they lost to ATL???? Exactly, Treetwista (as unknowledgable as he is) was still here at least trying (failing).
Quote : | "win next monday and we'll get the division, lose and we're looking at the wildcard." | I still dont see this. Especially what Denver did yesterday and how NO is all of a sudden an offensive juggernaut. I could still see Panthers going 10-6 if they beat Tampa. Again, that schedule is so damn tough. On the flip side, I still predict them going 10-6 and losing to Tampa, New York, and either Denver or NO. And I actually looked at the tiebreak today and if they go 10-6, their is a great chance that the Skins would get the tiebreak over the Panthers (Cowboys get the 5th seed) due to conference record

you said the Cardinals were breathing down the Panthers necks...well the only way the Cardinals could even effect whether or not the Panthers made the playoffs would be if they were competing with the Panthers for a wildcard spot, which they're not, since they already have the NFC West on lock since the 9ers and Rams and Seahawks suck...so please explain how your statement about the Cardinals challenging the Panthers for a playoff spot makes any sense because it doesnt
ps: you're still a moron
what you ought to do is worry about your Bucs, because if the Panthers win on Monday night, it might be the Cats and Falcons representing the NFC South

is that clear enough for you?
boy you sure do love falling back on your falcons beat panthers prediction which you made "many posts ago"...but you don't want to own up to your Cardinals comment, which was made in the same (original) post? big surprise...the same post by the way that so definitively stated that the Panthers had no chance in Green Bay...and you claimed the Bears and Packers were a threat to keep Carolina out of the playoffs...hahahahahahahah good call genius...the Panthers are 6 games over .500...the Bears and Packers are .500 or worse...but pick them to make the playoffs ahead of the Panthers
so by my calculations, so far your predictions are about 16.7% correct so far

So you had a 50-50 chance of getting it right. Plus playing the statistics that the home team in the division is undefeated this season. Good job nostradumbass. I will tell you one thing the Bucs have not started games well all season. If the Panthers get a lead this won't be the Chiefs or the Lions you're playing a team who is much better. The Panthers will be pumped for this game to avenge the embarassment in Tampa earlier this season. The Bucs do have a stout defense their offense has been somewhat anemic the past few weeks. Contain Garcia and you can beat the Bucs, albeit that is something the Panthers have had trouble with in the past. I think the stat holds up the home team wins in a tough game by 10 points. 12/1/2008 8:11:12 PM |

On the Bucs vs Panthers game. I have searched and I really cannot find any hard evidence or facts (as of right now) that show how the Bucs will win this game except for that Garcia owns the Panthers as of late (FACT; has beaten them 5 of last 5 with 3 different teams) and that we beat them 27-3, but that was in Tampa. Still, 27-3 is pretty much an ass woopin. Also, Dunn averages about 4.4 yds per carry against Carolina aka owns you too. I expect Jake Delhomme to throw dumbly and Tampa to make him sorry. We shut down DeAngelo and although I wont say we have shut down every runner we have played, he have done very well against good runners in the league (Turner, DeAngelo, MB3, Peterson) and although most of them were in TB, no runner has really lit us up on the ground besides KC's Charles. I dont see DeAngelo running well (above) and I think your game will rely on Jake's arm, and as the 3rd best intercepting team in the league and the 4th best defense overall, Ill take that challenge. STAT Prediction: TB: Garcia: 220 yds, 1 td Dunn & Caddy: 145 totals yds, 2 td Bryant: 73 yds Car: Joke Delhomme: 275, 2 td. 4 int DW and Stewart: 83 total yds Smith: 119 yds, 1 td
And Im not sure about this talk about Tampa not doing so well right now, we are on a 4 game win streak with a offense ranking 16th and a defense ranking 4th, comparing that to Carolina's 14th ranked offense and 7th ranked defense, with Carolina being very unbalanced offensively (22nd pass, 7th run). 12/1/2008 8:18:40 PM |
TreeTwista10 minisoldr 148446 Posts user info edit post |
I'd rather have Joke Delhomme than Jeff Gayrcia any day of the week
also yes, Jeff Garcia has had the Panthers number lately, but you forgot one little stat in your assessment of the game:
the Panthers are 6-0 at home...that streak isn't about to end on Monday night
also I hope Garcia scrambles for a run and runs out of bounds, just to have 6'6" 280 pounds of Julius Peppers late hit the fuck out of him...then like Rodgers, he'll be scared to scramble for the rest of the game

Your stat about rush defense is flawed because all those running backs with the exception of one was at home. Also DeAngelo has been running much better since the last time we played, our OLine is healthier this time around too. We run much better at home. The Home team in the division is undefeated this season and the Panthers are 6-0 at home this season.
My Stat "facts" for the game
Jeff Gaycia 190 yards passing 30 yards rushing 2 total TD's 1 Int Jake Delhomme 195 yards passing 1 TD 2 Int (4 Int at home is wishful thinking)
DeAngelo/J-Stew 190 yards rushings 3 TD
Dunn/Broke Down Cadillac 95 yards 1 TD
Smitty 115 yards 1 TD Bryant 85 yards 1 TD 12/1/2008 9:56:24 PM |

I am a big fan of past patterns and past facts more than "just" homefield advantage. I rely on homefield advantage so much because it is a proven stat. Now even tho the Panthers are undefeated at home (which is a seasonal pattern), another proven pattern is that for some wierd reason, the Bucs do better against the Panthers in Carolina. Again yno, this stat doesnt mean Ive found the key that will unlock the future to let me see who wins this game, but it is another stat in the Bucs favor, period. Another reason for people out there to think twice about this game, because like I said at the beginning of this thread, I swear that Panthers fans are some of the dumbest and least informed fans in the world (not all), and Id like to inform them12/1/2008 10:12:11 PM |

seasonal pattern? panthers winning at home?
1995: 5-3 1996: 8-0 1997: 2-6 1998: 2-6 1999: 5-3 2000: 5-3 2001: 0-8 2002: 4-4 2003: 6-2 2004: 3-5 2005: 5-3 2006: 4-4 2007: 2-6
that's 51-53 overall at home
if you throw in this year, it puts them over the hump at 57-53, but that is hardly a home advantage over the years
