I thought New Vegas' atmosphere was better also. Much more believable settlements/factions and better writing.

Nothing about Fallout 3's world made sense. There was no farming or even green plants anywhere so what did people eat? The Talon mercenary company was a rich and incredibly well equipped but all they do is fight supermutants for a useless monument and attack random travelers who have the nerve to help people.

I recommend Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon.

Both 10/10 games, for different reasons. Both wildly fun.

I like NV over FO3, but both games are on the top of my list for best games I've played in the past 10 years. Lots of replay value specially for $5 with all the DLC's. I've only played a little of Honest Hearts and thought it was pretty cool, but I haven't invested the time to redo my character.

Any thoughts on the witcher / the witcher 2? I've heard a ton of good things on it, and both enhanced editions are on sale for 4.99/9.99 respectively. I'm in dire need of a good new RPG.

for those price, totally buy. just be warned, the camera gets wonky and gameplay keys aren't intuitive in battle.

Glad I waited for Orcs Must Die 2. Was tempted to get it at $7.50, but now that its half that, I am definitely jumping on the bandwagon.

The Witcher 1 is not that fun IMO, Witcher 2 is really nice. I'd advise you to get Witcher 2 and just read a plot summary of Witcher 1, maybe watch the end on Youtube.

It's really a matter of taste, I'd just sort through the most endorsed mods on the Nexus and see which ones strike your fancy. I'd caution you about weapon and armor mods though because those can ruin your game difficulty, and sometimes even if the weapons are cool (like all the modern guns that people have made) they can ruin the "feel" of the game a bit.

I picked up Ace of Spades. Pretty fun little game and worth the price. I enjoy it and at $2.49, would recommend it.

was thinking about picking up the 4 pack, but not sure; it has some terrible reviews and even not so kind remarks from users.

Apparently the game had some major issues when it went from open beta to paid game. It had a rocketeer unit which was super unbalanced. That is no longer in the game and was replaced by the engineer. Also, the paid release did not include the original classic version, and some folks liked that more. There is just one class, and it is a lot slower paced. It is in the current version now. I had a good time with it and definitely thought it was worth the cost. They are still adding to it and changing it.

Picked up Torchlight II and Rage for 4.99 yesterday on flash sales. The Flash Sales seem to have the best deals

Torchlight II is now the top sale for the day at $4.99. I have really started checking in on the Flash Sales though, as those seem to be the best "deal", or the presence of something that does not get voted to become the Flash Sale ends up being a daily deal anyways.

Bst deal was Thursday night civ v flash sale that included BNW for $20. I also snagged borderlands 2 season pass for $10 since all I had was the base game.

^^ I haven't really tried the newer DLC's and don't know if any of them are good, but magika and Vietnam DLC is da shit. Magika is one of those games that is infinitely more fun with friends.

If you liked either of the Batman games, pickup Deus Ex: Human Revolution for ~$3. Playing the game without killing anybody (except boss fights) is incredibly fun and challenging.

@Lionheart, that's because you bought everything already and are working your way through a backlog

My kids and I love playing Dungeon Defenders together, so I picked up all the rest of the DLC that we did not have for a whopping $5.29. Only one I didn't get and don't have is The Tinkerer's Lab, which was still $1.99. Not the greatest game, but a fun cooperative tower defense hack and slash game to play splitscreen with my kids.

I have some games from several steam sales ago that I still haven't played. Well now they're on sale again for the same price or less and, in addition, they include all the DLC. Wish I had waited until now to get them.

^I picked it up saturday, seems pretty fun. Do people actually build much though? I've only played a few games and it seems like a lot of people just try and sneak into the other teams base/spawn. It would be cool if you started in a flatter/simple landscape and had a designated build period(a few minutes) to make a base and then the game started.
