^I have no clue. From my point of view, 2 guys went for the ball and my teammate yelled something like, "COME ON!" Then 2 red cards were issued. The ref was pissed off before the game started anyway.

It's game on this weekend. Rain south of the triangle on Saturday according to the news. If my team wins Saturday then we finish 5th and if Fullvaso has 11 guys show up this time then they will beat Newcastle on Sunday and my team will be 5th outright. Not bad for a group of guys who met for the first time about 15 minutes before kickoff in March.

Also tww, right now my team has 19 players on roster and I am willing to up it to 21 players. Congratulations elduderino! He got a new job and will not be on the team in the fall =18. Also, another guy wants to quit and play coed B if he can since the games are closer to his house than Men's Open C =17. My Brother inlaw's cousin is going to play for us in the fall =18 and I am going to try to find a real gk =19. We need more defenders and someone on the team knows 2 bothers who play CB =21. A good portion of my team seems to miss games because of work, but I'm not promising anyone anything, or taking names right now. With that being said, tww you need to be on stand by. The fall season will start August 15th.

dubcaps, god, amac884, ToastyMuffin, and anyone else who is interested in playing outdoor rec league in Raleigh I guess I am sort of putting you on the unofficial priority list.

Don't get your hopes too high though because we are full right now.

You guys only won 1 game in the fall and now you have won 4 and tied 1. Hopefully we have a turn around and find a better GK than me, so I can move back to defender, if our weakest links come back who think they need to sub in as fullbacks.

^Yeh, Sasquatch is the worst for showing up on time with 11 players. Last week they had their 11th man getting out of his car when the ref was ready to start the game. They also only had 11 players the first time they played you guys too.

As for us today, we lost 4-0 to Newcastle in our 25 minute half of 7 vs 11. We would have had 8 players, but one of our guys left his pass at home. On the bright side we really pissed off that guy who coaches them and plays sometimes. They kept getting called for offsides. "OK, THE NEXT PERSON WHO IS CALLED FOR OFFSIDES IS COMING OUT!!!!!!!!!" So then he took his best player out of the game. LMAO!

That linesman was awful. He'd call offside when you were clearly on. I'm 100% positive he has no idea how that rule works.

^My team said our linesman didn't call offsides when he should have a few times and he was talking to people on the sideline last weekend. I couldn't really tell from the gk point of view.

I don't know if they switched sides, or what, but the guy on the far sideline for our game was terrible.


The guy on the near sideline kept talking to us on the sideline, but I don't think he was that bad overall, because he at least understood that offside is from when you play the ball, not AFTER the ball is played.

If anyone asks where I was towards the end of the game, you can tell them that I left after not getting an opportunity to sub in after 45 minutes.

Dear Robin and Chris: Get fucked you shitheads. News flash: This is a recreational league and you're not Wayne Rooney and Lionel Messi. I don't care if we're "down one" or if you think I'm the worst player in the world. We all paid the same fucking fee to get on this team, and we all deserve equal playing time regardless of ability. It's a fucking recreational league.

Do you think I don't hear when you grumble about "subbing off the skilled players" every time I call you off to get some equal playing time for myself? If you're that fucking good, I'm sure the Railhawks are looking for two strikers with inflated egos to hog all the playing time.

I tried to offer a solution where we sub every 15 minutes. When I first subbed in, I got a leering eye from one of you and a comment about how I was "going to come off again in 5 minutes." I got in about 10-15 minutes of playing time in the first half before subbing back out. Neither of you would let me start in the second half, despite the fact that you two had been on the last 20 minutes of the first half. You claimed you would sub when we scored a goal. Then we were down one, and you said you two needed to stay on because we were down one (thusly implying that I'm some horrible player that will ruin your chances at glory in the TASL C-League, what a fucking joke). Then after tying up the game you still wouldn't sub out. Hey, it's 90 degree fucking weather. Everyone else is subbing. You're both playing like shit. But I guess you still don't want to sub.

When I realized there was only 10-15 minutes left in the second half, and I had only gotten in a baker's dozen of playing minutes, I decided it wasn't worth my time to see you run around the field.

Again, get fucked. I hope you two blew some opportunities at winning the game, realized you needed a sub, and saw that I had left you out to dry. If you're not going to be a team player, neither am I.

And to the rest of the team: You're a good bunch of guys, and I enjoyed playing with you.

we also lost 2-1 on a late goal rather than 1-0.

so we actually didn't get shut out all year. i'm really pleased with our defense and our goaltending this year. we gave up 45 or so goals last year and only 17 this year and recorded 3 shutouts. it made a huge difference and allowed us to stay in every game and have a chance to win. we only lost 1 game (our first) by more than 1 goal.

btw, it sucks that no one showed up on Saturday. Newcastle won twice this year and that was vs an 8 man Fullvaso team and a 7 man Sporting team. They won zero 11 vs 11 games this season.
