Just because they play in a shitty conference and only play one or two "real" teams a season doesn't mean shit. They consistently beat major teams, it's not like they win by dumb luck. I could see it if the Fiesta Bowl win was all they had but they keep doing it over and over again. If it was so easy, I'd expect one of the other WAC teams to beat up on 26-50th ranked teams consistently. After all, they only have to get up for one or two real games a year as well.

Either way, root for them if you want to see a college playoff.

When your QB is Tyrod Taylor, it's hard to justify that you are the best the ACC has to offer.

VT wins despite Tyrod Taylor being terrible. Dude is not going to make the NFL with that throwing motion. I haven't really gotten to see if he's improved on it over the off-season, but last year when he brought the ball back his arm went down before coming around instead of straight back by his head. It gave the defenders that much more time to react and is one of the reasons why he's been prone to getting intercepted over his career.
