The good news is that Montreal fans will most likely burn their city to the ground, which gives Gary Bettman an excuse to move another franchise to the American southeast. I'm thinking either Charleston or Richmond. Or even Oklahoma City, giving them the Lightning. Oklahoma City is not the southeast and there is already a franchise named the Lightning, but I feel that Gary Bettman will do anything to expand the brand, including someday having a Capitals-Penguins Stanley Cup Final (ending on a triple-overtime penalty shot).

Also, I was really hoping for Halak to score at the end.

They should just do away with sports altogether. See what this causes? Sports fans are ridiculous, and they cause no good in society.

Wait, never mind. This is an argument people like God and SaabTurbo use to explain why religion, Christianity in particular, is what causes all the world's problems. I guess as it turns out, most sports fans aren't crazed rioters and most Christians aren't fanatical nutcases.

OK back to the soapbox. I don't know why but for some reason seeing all that rioting and stuff really prompted a lot of thought about typical members of a group versus fringe outliers.
