They have 3 huge stars but not enough complementary guys.

CP3 would make the ultimate sacrifice, taking the mid-level exemption if he wants to join the group.

They will get a couple of decent players that will play for cheap, under the impression that the Heat has what it takes to win the championship.

With absolutely no depth, all 3 of them will have to play major minutes to keep the team in the game. It'll be hilarious if one of them goes down due to injury.

I also think the team will struggle against a zone. Lebron and Wade aren't exactly known for their 3 point prowess. Teams will clog the slashing lanes and settle for Bosh shooting jumpshots.

I know they are two completely different talents, but I find it amazing that a guy like Kevin Durant quietly resigns a 5 year deal with OKC and it's enough for 1 or 2 stories on the evening news here in OKC, but LeBron needs a damn hour long special and 3 months of speculation. It's just wild to me.

Durant is the golden boy of the NBA. He's Wade circa 2005.

If you're referring to me, I know CP3 isn't a free agent. 2012 buddy.

Either way, he's still taking the mid-level if he wants to join the team that bad.

LeBron should have gone to college just to take public speaking. What a fool.

Also, does espn's coverage seem like it was set up like a high school group project.

"I will be talking about how LeBron will impact Miami"
"I will be explaining the impact of the decision on the East"
"I will be reading the con.. con.. conslut... conclusion."

ugggggghhhhh. as a kings fan who grew up idolizing jordan, it pains me to even consider this. but yeaaa....

although i've always considered kobe a better player/competitor than lebron. this move does nothing to help lebron's credibility, in my opinion.

yea I hope that team works out, it all depends on oden, I kind of thought they should have traded him for another star player but we will see

the west could actually still be interesting if kobe's body starts to fall apart which it prob will in the next 1-2 years and jackson retires

I'm a little sad for utah but if they had given boozer a huge amount of money they might have been worse in the long run, phx and nash however I do feel kind of bad for, oh well

my thread got locked because the mod didn't hear them call it south beach so therefore it was a bad thread....

I know the nets are moving to brooklyn but i missed the announcement of the heat moving to south beach. Good thing espn, lebron, and everyone on here already calls them the south beach heat because I totally thought they were still in Miami and the whole thing was just a huge disrespect for the city of Miami.

Its bad enough that everyone thinks of Miami beach when Miami is mentioned but to actually say Miami's pro franchise is in miami beach is a total slap in the face.

My friend works for a newspaper and is going to write a nice article dissing lebron and espn for their complete ignorance.

If lebron wasn't such a coward/frontrunner/follower, maybe he would actually know what city the team he's signing with is located in.

the thread isn't about the heat. its about people calling miami south beach. miami is miami and south beach is in miami beach which is a suburb of miami. i could understand people calling the suburb by the name of the big city but calling the big city by the name of the suburb is just crazy. nobody would say "phillip rivers plays for the chargers down in tiujana" or "owns going up to niagra falls to play for the bills" or "duhon joins howard at disneyworld"

And like I told her, people consistently refer to anyone going to play for the Lakers or Dodgers as going to Hollywood. I mean who hasn't seen that awful Joe Torre commercial. It's semantics.

no i brought this up before. espn analysts don't say miami anymore. during the playoffs stuart scott and others constantly said "now the series shifts to south beach" gtfo.

"going hollywood" is a figure of speech; a verb.

Nobody ever says "game seven of lakers and celtics is back in hollywood"
