Revis has agreed to a deal, per Adam Schefter and Revis' Twitter page (well, his twitter page says Revis island is back and he's finally coming home)

Bump up the Jets and bump down Boldin, Moss, and all of the others he will face this year. Ok, a bit of an overreaction based on one season, but he shut em down last year.

QB - Aaron Rodgers

how do you think I did?

I'm pretty happy with my team, NyM410 and ncstatetke are both in this league too and both have solid teams. I especially like NYM's team"

Its an 8 team league so your team is bound to be stacked (and it is). WR is a little thin and Harvin's migraines are unpredictable so that could be a concern. RB looks good. Who was your first pick?

Here is my team.

1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K, D. Standard Yahoo! scoring.

QB - Tom Brady
QB - Donovan McNabb
WR - Andre Johnson
WR - Brandon Marshall
WR - Michael Crabtree
WR - Mike Sims-Walker
WR - Steve Breaston
RB - Shonn Greene
RB - Steven Jackson
RB - LeSean McCoy
RB - Knowshown Moreno
TE - Dallas Clark
TE - Zach Miller
K - David Akers
DEF - Baltimore

I had the 7th pick so I like the group I got. Especially the RB group considering I picked outside the Top 5.

^^You got to wonder how much the Chiefs will be able to run this year, they tend to get behind early, and when they get beat it is usually not a close enough game for them to run a significant amount.

^^^^Gore, then I took Rodgers when it came back around to me with the 12th pick. With the unbalanced scoring in favor of QBs I didnt want to pass up on having a quality player and he is a borderline 1st round pick. Then in the 3rd round I kinda stretched to take Desean Jackson, I got him ahead of Brandon Marshall, Miles Austin, Larry Fitz and Greg Jennings, mostly because we get 1 point for every 20 return yards in this league, so he is rated as the #2 WR. Then it went Pierre Thomas, Anquan Boldin, Jermichael Finley, Percy Harvin, Arian Foster, Forte, Floyd, Pitts D, Dez Bryant, Harrison (great value with the 13th round pick), Longwell and Big Ben. Harvin is rated as the #1 WR according to our leagues settings and season projections - again because of return yardage.

I would love to trade away one of my killer RBs for a WR upgrade, but really I think DJax, Boldin and Harvin will do well for me if they avoid injuries. Malcolm floyd and Dez Bryant are a couple high upside guys who both could turn into studs

^^^I would take Charles over Bush all day

did my first auction draft saturday. funny thing was that I wasn't even there because I had a family function so I set my bid limits before I left. Somehow the league (most of whom were present for the draft) allowed me to get ray rice, chris johnson, adrian peterson.

I did a few mock auction drafts and I saw people constantly shying away from spending their money early and I would end up getting quality later in the draft for nothing so I set my bid limits high for the first five spots and somehow they let me get 3 out of the top 4 RBs in the draft. Only thing that sucks is my depth, but I can supplement that as the unknowns emerge mid-season. I was really surprised because this is actually my semi-competitive league. These guys actually follow the game. I guess they just weren't used to the auction format.

I'm coming out of Tdub retirement for this thread... I'd like you guys' opinion on my team:

PPR league, with IDP's (tackles, fumble recoveries, forced fumbles, and interceptions) and Team Defense (Defensive TD's and points allowed)

Here's my team, 10 team league:

QB1: Eli Manning
RB1: MJD
RB2: Ryan Matthews
WR1: Reggie Wayne
WR2: Donald Driver
TE: Jermichael Finlay

Bench:
Donovan McNabb
Beanie Wells
LaDainian Tomlinson
Darren McFadden
Donald Brown
Santana Moss
Devin Aromashadu

K: Bironas

DEF: Steelers

LB: Patrick Willis
DB: Eric Weddle
D-Flex: Curtis Lofton

looks good, I'm not a huge fan of Eli (as a fantasy QB or as a person in general ) so that would be the weakest spot on your team. Your RBs and TE are solid, and your WR look good too. I am not really high on Wayne or Driver this year for some reason, I kinda worry they will get the Marques Colston treatment and be the victim of too many offensive weapons on their respective teams. They will both likely put up great numbers, but I do worry that they might not be as good as seasons past. Your bench looks pretty solid, dont really see anyone who could wind up being a starter (besides on your starters' bye weeks or if an injury occurs) except maybe McNabb and Moss.

Overall, I give it a 7/10

Thanks man. I ended up holding out on getting a QB in the later rounds, and there was a 2nd and 3rd round run on them that allowed me to grab depth at other positions while the other QB's were snatched up. By the time I got around to picking up Eli, he was literally the only start-able option left.

I think 7/10 is a fair assessment. It should at least get me into a top 4 seed in the playoffs, and with the right waiver wire pickups, possibly go all the way.

I am having a hard time figuring out who to put my flex.

Starting I have:
QB: Brett Favre,
RB: Joseph Addai, Ryan Mathews
WR:Andre Johnson, DeSean Jackson
TE: Tony Gonzalez

Which leaves me with:
Zach Miller, Oak TE
Tim Hightower, Ari RB
Jeremy Maclin, Phi WR
Ahmad Bradshaw, NYG RB
Danny Amendola, StL WR

I have Miller slotted up now, but I am tempted to play Hightower or Amendola. Ideas?

Have a draft in 30 minutes. It's a 12 team non-PPR league. Just your standard scoring system. I have the 3rd pick in the draft which I hate, because it means no AP or Johnson. Who do you guys think I should take there? Don't like MJD because of his knee and I'm not sold on Ray Rice either but I'm just curious as to what you guys think.

Housh to join the Ravens. They are adding a lot of weapons for Flacco. He's gonna be a steal in the later rounds if you havent grabbed a QB yet. At the same time I think this moves Rice up a spot or two (def over MJD in my opinion) since the passing game will open up the running game.

Agree

For page 10 since no one reads the last few post on the previous page.

Just finished the draft. I know QB is really weak, any other glaring weaknesses. Standard scoring non-ppr 12 teams (Start: 1QB 2RB 2WR 1RB/WR 1TE 1D 1K). Also should I drop Gerhart for Snelling as a handcuff for Turner

QB Kevin Kolb
RB Michael Turner, Ryan Mathews, Jahvid Best, Michael Bush, Toby Gerhart
WR Greg Jennings, Mike Wallace, Johnny Knox, Santonio Holmes, Jabar Gaffney, Nate Burleson, Jerricho Cotchery
TE Dallas Clark
D Vikings
K Robbie Gould

he's a workhorse on a run first team in a weak defensive division...doesn't come off the field on 3rd down, catches a lot of passes and gets all the goal line carries. His only drawback is he always seems to miss a few games a year.

The 49ers had one of the worst o-lines lines last year and should be a lot better because they got a guard and an offensive tackle in the first round of the draft, if those guys mature really fast then Gore could have a monster year so long as he doesn't get hurt, but every running back is injury prone

I draft third

is MJD a legit 3rd choice? I mean i see him listed as third EVERYWHERE so I suppose he is...just with him being tweaked in preseason I am worried

or is Gore or Rice or Turner a better choice?

I would personally take Rice or Gore over MJD.

Here is my team, 10 team league.

QB - Eli Manning
RB - Ryan Grant
RB - Ahmad Bradshaw
RB/WR - Matt Forte
WR - Andre Johnson
WR - Steve Smith (NYG)
TE - Vernon Davis
D/ST - 49ers D/ST
K - Lawrence Tynes

BE - Pierre Thomas
BE - Santana Moss
BE - Robert Meachem
BE - Matt Ryan
BE - Fred Jackson
BE - Jerome Harrison

I ended up being unintentionally Giants heavy. Not sure who to start at RB2 for week 1; Thomas, Bradshaw, or Harrison. Thomas and Bradshaw play on better offenses, but Harrison has got a more attractive match-up. Any suggestions?

Missed the draft and auto drafted in a 12 team leauge:

QB
Drew Brees
Alex Smith

WR
Reggie Wayne
Percy Harvin
Hakeem Nicks
Julian Edelman
Demaryius Thomas

RB
Jahvid Best
Ronnie Brown
Knowshon Moreno

TE
Heath Miller
Zach Miller

K
Josh Scobee
Matt Prater

D
Baltimore

I think I'm good on WR but very lacking in RB unless Jahvid Best turns out to be great. My tight ends are pretty bad too. What do you guys think?

I think Jahvid Best will exceed your expectations. He looks like a stud. I took Moreno over him when I drafted 3-4 weeks ago and have been regretting it since.

Would anyone here actually start CJ Spiller (against Miami) over Shonn Greene (against Baltimore) in week 1 (PPR)? Right now, I'm going with the 'start your studs' philosophy and playing Shonn Greene. Baltimore's run defense hasn't looked that great in the preseason and Sanchez hasn't been throwing well.

2 immediate moves come to mind

- drop Alex Smith...you're gonna play Brees 16/17 weeks anyway, and you can find a plug-and-play QB for his bye week as good or better than Smith

- drop one of your kickers

^^I'd play Moss

^not bad

^^^thats a tough one, and I think that whichever way you go you will be fine. However, personally I would start Santana if McNabb is healthy. Everyone boosted Berrian up their boards once Rice had his hip surgery, only thing is, I havent heard a single good thing from the Vikings about him. They wouldnt have picked up Camarillo if they were completely sold on Harvin and Berrian. I think Harvin will be the WR to go after in Minnesota, I HAVE heard Favre say good things about his chemistry and respect for Percy. I think Berrian will put up slightly better numbers with Rice gone, but I dont think he completely picks up his slack, he is just a one-dimensional deep threat WR.

do you like how I completely talk myself out of liking Berrian? haha I do that shit every time I make an argument for and against a player

Harvin said his collapse wasnt a migraine, but a bad reaction to a drug/medicine...take it for what its worth

Orton's not great, but he threw for more yards last year than Warner and Cutler did...although he had Marshall

and don't sleep on Driver...everybody in that offense will get plenty of targets, Rodgers is gonna spread it all over

Driver is kinda like Mushin Mohammed, in that even though he keeps getting older, he does a good job of staying in game shape, so I'd start Wayne/Driver most weeks

I dont know how your league is set up, but why did you go RB, WR, RB, RB to start your draft? Do you have a WR/RB flex that you were filling? I think you missed a golden opportunity to fix your WR or QB issues with the 3rd or 4th round picks. I have found myself picking RB, WR, QB as my first 3 rounds lately, and that has done me well.

I really dont like Orton as your main QB (until Big Ben comes back), and you are really thin at WR. If Dez lives up to expectations you should be fine, but I'm a little worried about Reggie Wayne and Donald Driver this year, I think they are going to be similar to Marques Colston - putting up decent numbers but the victims of an offense that has too many weapons. I think you will probably be fine with Wayne, Driver and the combo of Bryant, Mason and Williams.

^one more thing to boost Harvin is if your league gives any points for return yards/TDs. Also, if his head/migraines were a huge issue they wouldnt put him out there as their primary kickoff returner, at least I wouldnt think they would. Im really big on Harvin this year, I have him in both of my leagues that give points for return yards

[Edited on September 6, 2010 at 9:29 PM. Reason : harvin]

yea it has a RB/WR flex spot and I really didnt wanna take a QB that high when all the primary ones were already gone (rodgers, brees, manning, rivers etc)

I do think I need another WR and although I like Driver, I wish I had one more stud WR.

I mean its a decent team but not GREAT and of course I want GREAT.

I dont like Orton dont get me wrong...but it was the best move for me to wait and pick up QB later.

Nobody runs on the Vikings with Williams and Williams clogging the3 middle, I would bench Pierre. I'm not sure if EJ Henderson is back for the Vikes either, but he is a great run stopping linebacker and if he plays I would further downgrade my expectations for Pierre.

Question:

Who should I start at my flex this week:
Scoring is non-ppr, with each yard rushing/receiving is .1 points, tds are 6, and you get bonuses for touchdowns over 40 and 50 yards

Greg Jennings v Philly
Jahvid Best v Chicago
Justin Forsett v San Fran
Hines Ward v Atl
