The upstairs was probably a little less than 50% full, but the downstairs filled in pretty well after 5 or so minutes gone in the first period. Matsumoto looked really good tonight, and Skinner and Staal seemed to feed off of each other pretty well. I wish Cam could've gotten a shut out though, he always seems to give up one or two in blow out games like this.

I think the only argument is if it was swung wildly? Or if the shooter could have prevented the high stick.... I didn't see the play... but it sounds like it was a gift call.

I believe it was a penalty because he didn't actually hit the puck, he just swung his stick at it and clipped Tavares. If he had actually cleared it out, maybe we'd have an argument.

Great atmosphere last night...sat in 129, which ended up being awesome during the prolonged PK (although I wish we had never been in that situation to begin with). The goals all ignited the crowd, but the 5-3 situation really got the energy flowing. Definitely one of the best games crowd-wise I've been to since sometime earlier in the spring of last season (especially for the smaller sized crowd there).

I had a feeling it would be bad when we tee'd off 4-5 shots on their goalie to start the game, they gained control of the puck, drove down and scored on Cam immediately. That was with 17:55 left in the first period. Our defense was non-existent tonight, if Cam didnt stand on his head a few times we couldve easily given up 10 goals, to the Panthers
