Rodon had been pitching on Saturday all season until we rested him the entire weekend vs Cal State Bakersfield. Then he pitched Friday vs VT and Thursday vs FSU. Since we usually pitch our #1 pitcher in the 2nd game of the regional, I figured we would hold Rodon til Saturday to get him back to his normal rest. We know we are a lock to host a regional next weekend. I'd say winning the tourney would be our only way to get a national seed.

We really need UM to beat Wake, I think they can manage that. However Wake has been playing well, they swept Clemson last weekend to even make the ACC tournament.

The team has looked flat the past several games. Hopefully we can hit better against UNC. I was particularly disappointed in Austin last night. Several balls were just missed and he tried to backhand instead of blocking others. This is a young team, but we are very talented and dangerous to the end.

Haven't seen anything official, but best guesses at this point are Whaley for Miami and Holmes for Wake. Whaley's put up fairly similar stats to Erickson this year while Holmes is Wake's ace. Holmes doesn't have much stamina though - he's gone 9 innings once this year and 7 innings only twice, 5-6 is more his norm.
