Love how so many teams are "tanking" for this potentially spectacular draft class.

Watch Wiggins and the Kentucky boys all stay.

But I also think these teams are tanking and freeing up as much cap space as possible just aiming to throw their hat in the Lebron sweepstakes next season. Potentially going to be quite a few good players becoming FAs next year.

i wish LeBron spent his career signing nothing but one year deals, switching to a new team every season, instantly transforming each into legit contenders; him and Jordan (and maybe Bird and Magic) are the only non-centers in league history capable of that sort of impact

If so, LBJ will make Decision every summer.

No, LBJ won't surpass Jordan.

based on lore and his accompanying stats, no doubt

but I'm not comfortable making such assertions about a player I never really watched; even with Jordan I hesitate because my view of him is stained by the dopeyness of youth

Didn't know Ralph Sampson was sooo tied to the Rockets organization. Seeing that he never won a championship at the college level (suck it)...guess he has to hang his hat on something.

the guy on espn radio nailed it, had to be four tallest fuckers in a room of all time (yao ming who towers over howard, sampson, hakeem dwight), that's also kind of impressive loyalty those guys had for their franchises, I didn't think nba players really cared like that

It's not about loyalty. It's about fame.
If they want to go into Hall of Fame and become a true legend, they need support from their previous teams. They want their jerseys hanging over in the Toyota arena!

[Edited on July 14, 2013 at 3:01 PM. Reason : At least Yao probably wants that.]

Sampson is one of the greatest basketball players this planet has ever produced; that's plenty to hang his hat on

let 'em burn, yet still miss out on a top10 pick in next years draft; i've hated the Lakers ever since they ditched Sedale Threatt

assistants usually

Jason Kidd coached for the Nets, though, because he's going into the season with zero experience

I was listen to the Paul Pirece (sp?) press yesterday for the Nets and you tell how sad he was. This is why I am for players taking the own destiny in their hands.

He will retire Green when it's all said and done.

For now the Celtics front office really screwed the pooch on this one...

^ LOL. Maybe he is trying to be like Eli when he claimed to be a top-5 QB. Although Eli did go out and back that up.

Funny part is rose has never been the best pg in the league or the best player on his own team. Hes delusional.

Scola was actually horrible the last two seasons. Hes washed up he cant help them. Hansbrough was actually pretty decent last year. Solid backup but hes probably peaked.

Jeremy Lin may be traded again.
But someone also thinks he, Howard and Harden are the Houston's Dirk, Finley and Nash.

^^obviously Scola is on the decline, especially without all those international miles on his tires, but i'm gonna be optimistic and hope the extent of his most recent deterioration says more about what a disaster it was/is in Phoenix than about him. as a 2nd unit guy, i think he's still a big man you can productively run your offense through. there's more value in that than what Hansbrough offers.
