Everyone hating on Gervinho. Arsene knows what's up, Gervinho is legit, he just needs time. Although I did see a funny tweet about him: "Gervinho went to an 'All you can eat" Chinese buffet, it was £10 per head.... They charged him £30."

This team is going to run riot on the league in a month or two, once they've had more time to train together and play a few more games. There wasn't much of a preseason training camp this year...a big chunk of the team went on tour in Asia and the rest of the starting team wasn't even signed yet.

Two draws isn't the best start, but the defending has been solid which has been the big problem for several years now. Once everyone up front gets on the same page as Cazorla, the goals will start flowing.


Oh and Twitter just told me Dempsey headed to Sunderland tomorrow for a medical? WTF that would be a horrible move. Can't believe he couldn't get a move to a bigger club than that...

Eh, we'll see how that defense does against teams that can actually attack. Sunderland parked the bus about as hard as you can park it. They did do well defending Stoke's rugby game, though.

I don't really understand AVB using Modric's money to bid on Willian. I'd think you'd either want another midfielder or striker or maybe Lloris. Willian plays the same position as Gylfi and VdV. Maybe if he can play winger on the right, but it still seems like the money could be better spent.

Even if that's true, it doesn't mean he's going there. Medicals can be done ahead of time to make it easier for the transfer to go through if a fee is agreed. I still think he's going to Liverpool but if that can't be arranged, he has to find something else because there's no going back to Fulham after what's happened this summer.

It looks like Spurs bid for Moutinho was accepted. £22M. I didn't think they'd break their transfer record for him.

I do hope they still get Lloris but I don't think he's a definite need this transfer period. If they didn't get him or Joao, I would have considered their transfer signings disappointing.
