Rudy Gay to Toronto. Ed Davis, Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye to Memphis. Jose Calderon to Detroit.

snap.

goddammit that trade fucked me.

I have Memphis to win the West at like 25:1 odds which is good since they made out like bandits in this trade. You'd rather have both Prince and Daye over Gay, and adding Davis gives them three studs in the frontcourt between Gasol, Randolph, and Davis. Throw in Conley and Allen playing at a very high level and a decent bench and this team is loaded now. But they're still going to be underdogs and giving up homecourt advantage against LAC, SAS, or OKC in the 2nd round so the hedge potential isn't worth a lot of equity on such a relatively small bet.

I have the over on Toronto wins and now they are probably fucked losing two of their best three players in Calderon and Ed Davis and getting stuck with Rudy Gay. What an awful fucking trade. They give up a young stud in Davis, Calderon who is still a star and has an expiring contract and they get back one of the most overpaid players in the league who has never played at a high level.

Detroit I was probably going to lose my under bet on anyway so I don't care that much, but the Bobcats have their first round pick which just took a hit in value. They get to bench a terrible Brandon Knight and replace him with Calderon who may just be the best PG in the East now that Rondo is out. I could easily see them making the playoffs if Bynum doesn't return for Philly, since Boston will suck total nutsac without Rondo. Who the hell would have guessed Drummond would be ANY GOOD, let alone be in the debate for best center in the league already. WTF!

haddadi has always played well but in VERY limited minutes. I'd be curious to see what he could do given 15 minutes a game or so. Some team like the bobcats with no discernible talent should have tried him out

I was just pointing out that Lebron got the opportunity to meet the president and totally Forest Gumped it.

He acted like an idiot. I bet he was prolly drunk, well he at least acted like it anyway. You think that you would have something actually prepared and respectable when you meet the president, but he just took the mic and winged it. It was awful. Truly terrible.

I'm sorry that you confuse genuine excitement for being drunk

prepared statement? did you not hear him say, "am I supposed to say something?"?

to which Obama replied, "It's your world, man"

you kidding? Obama should be thrilled to meet LEBRON.

Lebron is a specimen, Obama is just a political figurehead. An egotist who has accomplished literally nothing in his life other than being likeable by people who can't read.

Lebron is one of the most talented and dominant athletes of all-time in any sport

god Gasol is fucking terrible this year. Never saw that coming I thought he'd age gracefully because he's so skilled.

He killed us in the olympics. Guy is consistently the worst player on the court even when the second string is in practically. what the fuck

Nah, Marc has always been an above average center (and he was fantastic in the playoffs two years ago) but Pau was a complete stud his first four years in LA and a pretty good player in Memphis too.

he obviously fell off last year but he's REALLY struggling this year. Just making the most basic mistakes and blowing easy baskets

raise your hand if you thought PJ Tucker the PF from Texas that is originally from Raleigh that Herb didn't even recruit would re-invent himself as a SHOOTING GUARD and start in the NBA.

What the fuck.

David West and PJ Tucker, Herb didn't even want them unreal

WP48 must be a useless stat if the current leader is a guaranteed bust and one of the five worst players that was in the draft last year.

Nope . The draft is an inexact science. Drummond apparently wasn't trying in college, because it pegged most of the rest of the draft.

My issue comes with a guy exactly like Drummond who was 17 in the fall and his college sample size was 30 games. It's ridiculous to draw definitive projections based on that... especially on a guy with the physical traits of a Drummond.

It's incredibly useful for kids who actually have more than one winters worth of numbers to evaluate.

considering he's 6'6" and 220, i figured the only way he'd make it in the pros was as a wing

There seems no doubt that we can still see these two teams in June.
Maybe Spurs can create some troubles for OKC?

in case you missed it, Barkley was on pre-game with a bandage wrapped around his head with blood stains.
He said that being the Auburn sportsman that he was, he went to Tuscaloosa to congratulate them and he got mugged for his credit cards.

Thunder just don't match up well against heat. Their defense isn't good enough and when Miami traps they don't have the perimeter shooters.

Still don't understand why they insist on playing Perkins as much as they do, especially against a team like Miami that just doesn't have a true low post player. Bosh is just going to pull him out to the perimeter every time.

Lebron is 23 pts at halftime already. He will continue with the record of streak games with 30+ pts.

scott brooks is an awful coach, one of the worst.

Perkins should never play more than 10 minutes he has zero game since his injury a few years ago.

Last year in the Finals they never even had a chance because brooks kept playing fisher big minutes. Like uh this guy couldn't even make most rosters why is he playing 30 minutes against the HEAT of all teams.
