Agreed. Plus I usually buy stocks in $1000 lots minimum so if you really want a certain stock or two, by all means, invest the 2K but it's not like you're going to be day trading or anything too exciting.

Also another noob question, someone on the last page mentioned in response to the guy that was talking about starting of with only 500 that 6% commissions would kill any profits, when I see ads for sites saying 6 bucks per trade, is there commission fees on top of that?

The commission is typically the cost per trade so it will cost you $6 to buy then another $6 to sell. So with 500 dollars you already have to get a 2.5% increase just to cover the commissions for buying and selling.

OSIS crashed today on the news of TSA contract cancellation. took a chance and bought in 100 shares at ~45.5. I wayyy mistimed the bottom (39), but it's back up to ~49.50 now.

Haha just messing with you. This recent uptrend is due in part to INO's sister company ONCS. I believe I have mentioned them in this thread previously, but they had a 30% spike the other day on some positive results. Wish I had held onto those shares a few months back :/

The real juice for INO is coming sometime early-mid 2014 when they have Phase II trial results for their first potential big money maker. They seem to think the results will be positive as they are already planning for Phase III trials, to initiate immediately following the Phase II.

Glad I held on to PSDV. The stock lost have its value when their drug was denied back in Oct by the FDA. Apparently it is good to go now. Stock jumped from 2.95 to near $5 in afterhours.

Wish I had held onto those ONCS (INO sister company) shares back in late October...I had a few thousand $ worth @ 0.28/share and over the past weeks it's run up to 0.50. I only held them a few days and decided to put it back into INO, because I got scurred. They both use the same delivery platform.

This run up wasn't based on anything directly...I'm hoping it will fill in that 2.20 gap first

I'd like to add more at 2.20 rather than 2.40, although I wouldn't count out a short squeeze run to near $3 again (followed by another crash), depending on buying pressure. We will get an indication tomorrow-Friday I guess.
