yeah that's pretty fucked up.

i assume this wasn't gurley's first time selling his autograph, but if it was $400 for 80 autographs (like what's bein reported)...gurley got absolutely ripped off.

makes me think that if he got that little for it, the dude was desperate for the cash.

I used to be the indignant, moral high horse type about this kind of stuff, but i definitely see it as a much more nuanced issue.

The nuance is this:

If it's a player on one of the UNC teams, he's a bad kid who's an equal partner in a corrupt university that will do anything to win. If it's a kid at some other school, then there are clearly various circumstances that, in many cases, leave him with no choice but to take money from agents, sell autographs, etc., so he can put gas in his car, or send the money home so his mom can pay rent, and that kind of thing.

the sec is the best conference don't get me wrong but people still get way to carried away overhyping that conference. they play very few big games out of conference then all of a sudden when they play each other they are all in the top 15 and beat each other then everyone thinks the team who wins the west is unbeatable. they usually are but in this case, fsu won the championship so i don't see how you can just go back to saying the sec is better than them the next season.

Why does beating teams like lsu and tamu make miss state so much better than fsu? i don't get that. these sec west teams have not had a great record against good non-conference teams going back to the last bowl season and fsu hasn't had the opportunity to play against high ranked teams like that.

lets see what fsu does against notre dame before we uncrown them.

thats what you call a fishy line. something is rigged or insider information has told some high rollers unc will win the game. and you get tricked into putting money. in this type of situation the team that the spread is leaning towards is about to win big. Trends tell me UNC will win this game by multiple touchdowns.

What was the reasoning behind only having 4 teams in the playoffs as opposed to 8 or 12. Its not right that every conference champion cant compete. Theres going to be such a log jam of like 5 teams for 1 spot.
