Real has the best TWO players. Cesc is a CM isn't getting the most out of him. Needs to have creative license gong forward. Also think Costa will take some settling in this league.

This is going to happen it looks like. Kudos to Liverpool for spending big after selling a player.

Balotelli is certainly a risk but worth it at the price states. Instantly transforms them in to title contenders though I do have questions on formation/personnel. 4-4-2? Hav to with Balo, no? Can't sit Sturridge. And if a 4-4-2 did you essentially pay £25m for a squaddie in Lalanna since Sterling is first on the team sheet at this point.

In any case, unless Arsene buys a CB and a true DM (and maybe a CF too) Liverpool is ahead now...

It's risky in a lot of areas but certainly not the price. It's basically a swap for Borini if they get the £14m that's been on the table for a while. That's incredible value for an established Italian international who has experience at top clubs.

United is going to get Di Maria for an absurdly high price. Their attacking strength is absurd. Rooney, RVP, Di Maria, Mata, etc. But they haven't improved their defense at all. They must be going for last years Liverpool strategy of just outscoring everyone.

In all seriousness though, this team is pretty damn good. Who knows if they can keep it up over the long haul, but they're capable of beating anybody in their current form. What a difference a great manager can make on a squad...

Oh, and Lamela is a BEAST.

See ya 3-5-2. Carrick in for Fletcher when he returns and that's a pretty good lineup. Not much left on the bench but Liverpool did it with 12-13 players last year. A lot hinges on Herrera being able to hold down that midfield too though.


^ I've said it before, I wish my team could blow through money like that so I'm not mad. And I never said United wouldn't attract big players. In fact, I said the opposite and knew it was coming all window because they have $$$. Di Maria is a signing like Ozil. You better do it if you can do it but surely they would have gone elsewhere if they were limited by money.

I think it's a bit off to compare Ozil to what United is doing. Arsenal hasn't spent £200m in six years combined. And I don't begrudge them either; they have the revenues.
