^ I buy into the theory that we have shooters but the shooting problem has something to do with coaching and/or our style of play. Maybe their legs are tired from the overplaying style defense we usually run? Who knows. Like, look at Styles. Last year he was a good college 3pt shooter. He shot 4+ 3s per game last year at 36.8%. This year he is taking nearly as many 3s but only hitting 30.3%.

I don’t know. I mean, Styles is statistically a worse shooter than he was last year. And MOC too, but I think MOC is being asked to do way more this year and he’s just not good enough to do what he’s being asked to do. The rest of the guys just are who they are. Hill isn’t a shooter. D Parker isn’t a shooter. Taylor is ok as a spot up shooter but not somebody that can shoot off the dribble. Pass is a fine shooter but clearly not good enough to play 30 mins/game regularly.

James is a good shooter for his career so I’m sure he was being counted on to carry the load for this team.

We have open shots and consistently miss them game after game. I don’t think that’s a coaching thing. And this isn’t me defending KK. I’m just gonna call a duck a duck in this situation. We have no reliable shooters. Styles has been a huge disappointment imo. I 100% agree with you. Not sure what to blame it on.

Duke’s errant pass goes out of bounds, quite certain we didn’t touch it. Then duke gets an and 1 on a very soft foul call.

It was a 5 point swing or possibly more. Since we would’ve retained possession instead of sending Gillis to the line
